The hotel was beautiful and all the wonderful festive decorations made it feel very special. Bar staff were wonderful. I loved sipping my gin by the warm crackling fire place. The only issue we had was our room was right by the main entrance and it was so loud of a morning and night, people smoking and chatting right outside the window, Room 1. Loved everything else, just a shame we had that room.

The hotel is in s great position walking distance between Windermere and Bownes. The staff were very helpful except for the chef who could not accommodate us on a fee simple requests
