    Views galore

The Nest at Chester Gap is a place where post and beam architecture meets modern day conveniences. The owner has done a magnificent job blending the two. Beautifully decorated with modern day appliances and furniture. The views are amazing with the sunrise gently waking you each morning. Short hike to Shenandoah National Park trails (Appalachian Trail) was an added bonus. It’s great to see that this place and local businesses are pet friendly! Owner was very accommodating with extremely quick response times. Would highly recommend staying at the Nest - it’s worth it!

A lovely stay in the country.

This was my second time staying at The Nest. The house is lovely and clean, and the view is specular. The host is attentive and helpful.

Perfect! As beautiful as it looks here, if not more!

Perfect Secret Spot for a Weekend Getaway

The Nest feels like a spot out of a storybook - with all trappings of a home featured in architectural digest. It's no more than 20 minutes away from anything you could want to to in Shenandoah, but all the while feels like you have the view of the mountain all to yourself. There were hundred of butterflies and beautiful sunrises. Couldn't have picked a more perfect escape for my family.

            What a gem!

The Nest is one of those rare finds... you know it’s going to be lovely based on photos and previous reviews but the reality is even better. The thought gone into the design and materials used, the fabulous breathtaking position over the valley, the abundant chairs inside and out to enjoy the views, have coffee and wine and relax, the thoughtful welcome treats, the bears wandering by shyly from a respectful distance .... lots of terrific experiences. We genuinely could not find fault! Superb stay and we wished it was longer.
