Gorgoeus Yurt for a Romatic Getaway in Wimberly, Texas
Secluded, Romantic Yurt w/Hot Tub
This yurt features a climate-controlled space with a king-size bed, private hot tub, fire pit, outdoor bathroom, kitchen, gas grill, and a rooftop deck. It is situated in a beautiful area of our property, private and tucked into the trees overlooking a wet-weather ravine. You'll park on one side of the ravine and walk across a bridge to your yurt. Enjoy a glass of wine out by your own fire pit, lounging in your hammock or while soaking in your private hot tub at the end of a hill country day.
After more than 20 years of traveling around the globe and living in far-flung regions, the hosts of this property settled in Wimberley, Texas, where they enjoy the small-town atmosphere and peaceful setting of the Texas Hill Country.
In 2019, they created the location in Wimberley to provide a unique experience for guests to come relax in a private retreat with luxury vibes. They found beautiful, brightly colored Mongolian yurts during their travels and knew they would be perfect for the experience they wanted to create.
The reputation grew as their guests began sharing their experiences. Soon they began to receive attention from the media as well as influencers. They eventually created a similar experience in the hills near Dripping Springs. With more land and a wet-weather creek, they could add 10 yurts with the same luxury amenities in a peaceful and private setting.
The hosts now have two locations with a total of 16 yurts – each one tucked into the woods, carefully curated with vintage furnishings, and a lot of attention to the details of view corridors and maximum privacy. The original yurts are named for their daughters and other yurts are named for friends and family.
This is one of six sleeping yurts on the property in Wimberley. Designed as a remote hideaway in the woods, each yurt is situated for privacy with more than 300 feet of woods in between each yurt territory and has sweeping hill country views from a rooftop deck. The yurt is perfectly located for glamping near Austin – located just a few miles from downtown Wimberley which features multiple restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shops, live music venues, art galleries, and swimming holes such as Blue Hole Regional Park.
Whether you are visiting the area for work, enjoying a romantic getaway with your partner, or seeking a digital detox as a solo traveler, you'll feel your stress levels drop as you arrive at our property.
Planning a birthday, anniversary, proposal, or surprise celebration? The property offers premium upgrades to enhance your experience with thoughtfully curated add-ons designed to make your stay unforgettable. Upgrades include individual and couples massages in our spa yurt, fresh flower bouquets, locally sourced snack baskets, romance packages, and Dark Sky viewing experiences.
This is one of a total of 6 sleeping yurts on The Yurtopian property in Wimberley. Wimberley has become one of the most popular destinations in the Texas Hill Country. The property is less than a 5-minute drive to the Wimberley Square with TONS of shops, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. There are wineries, breweries, distilleries, live music venues, hiking, and swimming holes all within a short driving distance of our property. Whether visiting the area for a friend's wedding or a romantic celebration with your partner, your blood pressure will drop as you enter our property. We specialize in dark-sky stargazing, bird watching, do-nothing relaxation!
There is no access to the Blanco River from Becca Ger, but you can check out the City of Wimberley website for reservations to the popular Blue Hole Swimming Hole or Jacob's Well swimming hole. You can also walk down to the Blanco River from the property to the low-water bridge near the 7A Ranch Resort. If you're interested in a day pass, drive to the 7A office by 10:00am during the summer/spring season to buy a day pass or rent a kayak.
Wimberley is a fabulously quirky little town with more great food, coffee, and shopping than you can accomplish in one weekend. Below is a list of some of our favorites:
LUNCH & DINNER:
- The Leaning Pear - Open Wednesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner; "The Pear" as the locals call it has fabulous soup, sandwiches, pizza, crab cakes, and salads. Chef-owned, it's a perfect spot for a romantic hill country dinner.
- Community Beer Garden - Open Wed. - Sunday for lunch and dinner; Community has fantastic pizza, a great outdoor seating area and a huge selection of local beers on tap.
- The Let Go - Open 7 days a week, this is our favorite bar in town! Great burgers, hummus, chicken gyros + killer margaritas that will knock your socks off!
BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER:
- Wimberley Cafe - Open Monday - Saturday 7am - 8pm and Sundays 7am - 4pm Great atmosphere, perfect migas, pancakes, chicken fried steaks, and burgers.
COFFEE:
- Sip on the Square - Open Monday - Sunday 7am - 6pm. Excellent coffee, pastries, cinnamon muffins and wifi if you'd like to sit and have a coffee while you check your email.
TACOS:
- Shamrock Tacos - Open Mon- Sun 7am - 3pm. Believe it or not, these tacos are from a gas station! We highly recommend calling ahead for your order on a weekend, because the line can be really long.
-Mima's Kitchen - Family-owned counter-serve, Mima's serves breakfast tacos & other Mexican food all day long. Homemade chips and queso are the best!!
SHOPPING:
Annie James - Cowgirl-chic, Annie James has the perfect outfit for your night out on the town in Wimberely! Women's clothes, jewelry, bags, and shoes.
Ceremony/JOON/ Shelter - Right on the Wimberley square in the oldest house in historic Wimberley, these shops are so beautiful and unique. Plants, cactus, plants and more plants, you'll also find gifts, candles, essential oils, house decor and more; these three shops are perfect for your hipster, bougie souvenir from the weekend.
