Deceiving

The owners most likely think they have a diamond in thr rough, however, this is just rough. The neighborhood is absolutely horrendous, was glad I had my pistol with me. One night at roughly 7pm, a woman came thru the front gate knocking on the door looking to buy drugs. The next door neighbor to the right is SUPER creepy, constantly walking by looking and watching. The back patio is unkept. Leaves, acorns, and outdoor debris everywhere so it makes it hard to use the patio set or firepit. The kitchen is fully stocked with basic, cheap plastic items. There are no basic seasonings to include salt, we ran to the store and grabbed our own. No issues or concerns with the bathrooms or bedrooms, besides the towels having short black hairs on them. I sent atext to the #, and dis offer new towels, but I think is a reflection of how they clean so we declined and used our own. AC worked fine. There were a few dead bugs on the floor when we came in, and the bottom of my sons socks were BLACK the first night being there so not sure what the $180 cleaning fee is for. 20mins from beach and 5mins from downtown. Parking in that narrow driveway is HORRIBLE so plan to park in front of the house, if space available.

The property is in a not so desirable neighborhood with a lot of foot traffic. Driveway is extremely narrow, difficult to get out of car. Lock is tricky. House was very clean and updated, nicely decorated, Furniture was nice. Beds semi-comfortable. Had enough toiletries and towels. Washing machine and dryer on site. Back yard had grill and outdoor patio set that we enjoyed although it was not well maintained, we had to sweep up a good bit of leaves before we could enjoy it as well as a lot of weeds growing, etc. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. The house did have a few large roaches which was reported with pictures and never got a response. Overall, the house was clean other than the bugs and had enough space for my family of 6. The location was very close to downtown river walk area and about 15 min drive to Wrightsville Beach.

Suitable place for long weekend

Positives: clean, convenient, lovely backyard, nicely decorated. Negatives: stingy on towels - we had said 6 people and only towels for 4 were provided. towels and linen on cheap side. soaps and the like on super cheap side. hot water almost non-existent in one bathroom (other bathroom must be on separate hot water heater because it was fine). bathroom with hot water needs more counter-type space for people to put their cosmetics, etc. front door lock tricky and hard to use. we used pull-out sofa and it has obviously not been cleaned in quite a while - lots of crumbs. it was okay for what we needed but probably wouldn't stay there again.
