One of my favorite places I've ever stayed! It is beautifully restored. And nice period decorations for Christmas when I was there the week of Thanksgiving. I didn't love that there is no staff on site; I felt a little vulnerable (I was traveling alone). I wouldn't recommend for anyone in a wheelchair or walker. The accessible entrance isn't available unless you arrange I advance to get a code for a separate entrance. I had a big suitcase and had to lug it up several steps because I didn't know to ask ahead of time.

The hotel and the rooms are SO cool. Everything was very clean and they took the time to really make the room welcoming. The tissues in the tissue box were shaped like a flower, there were personalized notes left, and a towel swan on the bed. I loved this hotel.

Only staff encountered was the housekeeping the next morning & they were very courteous! First time staying at a hotel w/o a front desk and all went smooth. Very nostalagic and different experience. Loved the design & artwork throughout the hotel and in my Houdini room. Only concern is there are no windows and no sprinkler system in the room. God forbid anything horrible were to happen, I'd feel safer with at least a fire extinguisher in the room to give me a fighting chance!

Great experience. The former City Hall was converted into a hotel and the transformation is stunning. Located in the center of the town, the rooms were very spacious and uniquely appointed with historic artefacts, a super comfy bed and one of a kind furniture. Very clean and friendly staff made us feel welcome and I'd be happy to stay there again.
