The first night a bug appeared to be crawling on the dresser while watching tv and my children were the ones to notice it. After spotting the first one, shortly after I spotted 3 more. I became upset quickly because my kids were upset and scared and were extremely uncomfortable in the room. I got up to kill the bugs and on the desk were 2 baby roaches. I then became even more upset. I went to the front desk and requested a new room. The gentleman that assisted me was helpful but not empathetic at all. I was not happy with feeling like " I was creating a burden" when in reality, my concern should have been addressed better. The following day, I asked to speak to a manager to re-address my concern and when upon speaking to him, he, for lack of better words, dismissed my concern. Not only that, but he was rude! When I asked to speak to a manager, he said yea that's me, what do you want? In my over 15 years of customer service, I have never ever known it to be correct or appropriate to answer a guest in that manner. Even if I was being rude to the manager, which I honestly was not, but to talk in that manner was a big NO NO! He stated that the hotel has a pool and that the bugs I saw had to be water bugs. There was no apology, no empathy, nor a sincere care in the world for the horrific night my kids and I had. All he said was that he would look into it, which for me was not enough! I took pictures and I will never return!!!!!
