The room was just as pictured. Very clean. The check in seemless. We actually wete able to check in early (on a weekday). The staff were really nice. The breakfast area very efficient with 4 different stations for waffles, muffins, bagels, and toast. 2 juices. Milk, yogurt, cereal. Oatmeal packets, hard boiled eggs. There are no meats...but we really didnt miss it. There are oat bars. Coffee. Tea. Decaf. We were very saited and ready for the day. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel has a very nice lobby with a fireplace. It was nicrly decorated for Christmas. There is also a sundry shop with plenty of snacks. The hotel is very close to tge Visitors center where buses arrival and departure for the historic area. We never had to drive once we checked in. We had a Signature King Suite...very nice to have a fridge, microwave and 2 TVs. The couch was very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The elevators are clean and fast. Parking is convenient. Luggage dollys worked well. I can only give this hotel a 10 out of 10 on my scale. We will return next stay.

No the breakfast menu is poor plus you stopped serving egg and protein sandwichs. Did you ever have to try and eat when no one from your staff will ask anyone to sit out of the dining room so others can eat! I have asked for two years and all staff members just roll their eyes. And you cancelled the food at the small cafe. How would you like to arrive late thinking, we can go to the cafe. Just to find out it's gone. A smart manager would have provided microwave meals at the front desk.

Our stay at Woodlands was wonderful and relaxing and so peaceful since most of it was watching the gorgeous snow fallling and NOT having to drive in it! As I was checking out and had actually left the lobby, I noticed that I had lost an earring. I returned to the front desk and the man went with me back to our former room (II had already turned in our keys) and helped me find it. We really appreciated the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Woodlands Inn and Resort is about our favorite place to stay in our very favorite place in the world - Williamsburg.

Breakfast, including the coffee, was lousy. Not enough seating. Room was clean but dated. Comforter was old and had pulls and wallpaper in bathroom needed to be replaced. Room was nice size and housekeeping staff were nice.

The hotel was nice but showing its age. Our room had a leak in the heater/ac unit that they came and fixed but the room definitely had a musty odor to it. They fixed the leak but did nothing to take care of the wet carpet. The breakfast options were lacking for hot items and proteins. The staff did a great job of keeping the area clean and well stocked.
