European Getaway Without the Airfare
This is an amazing small hotel (34 rooms total). We’ve stayed here four times and every room is very nicely decorated with unique antiques and handwoven oriental rugs. The restaurant (country-French) is comfortable and consistently great, especially the morning croissants and quiche. Although it’s a bit higher priced than other rooms in the area, there is really nothing else like it! Considering that the cost includes two Reserve tastings at the winery and an excellent breakfast, we think it’s worth it. Williamsburg also has a lot to offer, not just the standard historical sites but also a growing number of distilleries, micro-brews and interesting eateries. We only noticed a couple of small maintenance issues with our room but nothing major. Overall, we had another great experience and we’ll be back.
