We come to this hotel and have for the past 20 years for an Anniversary getaway weekend. The hotel is great, the staff is great! Our stay has always been great! While our stay was great this past weekend, our check in was not how we have been greeted and welcomed in the past. Maybe, the lady was having an off evening. We just were take. Back as she was not very friendly or welcoming. All business, and matter of fact. Thankful the rest of our interactions with the other hotel staff were as we have experienced in the past, very kind and friendly.

The staff could not have been better. They were very nice. I am on crutches from an injury. They put is in rooms that were close to the exits on the first floor. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the grands enjoyed swimming in the pool. It was close to Colonial Williamsburg and plenty of good restaurants to eat it.

We were assigned a handicapped room. I did not request a handicap room. The bathroom was dirty. The breakfast room was less than adequate for the number of people that were in it. The door to the closet squeaked so loud. I’m surprised they didn’t hear it in the next room. It was in desperate need of some WD-40! The bathroom door squeaked as well. The floor in the bathroom was dirty, and the vanity was torn. I will probably no longer be booking a room at Marriott hotels.

When we booked in the beginning of December we asked for a 1 pm check in. When we got to the hotel they would not honor it. We also asked to have a room next to my sister and that didn’t happen either. I told them we would not be able to check in until 10pm because we would be at Busch Garden Park all day, that is why we wanted the 1 pm check in. When I finally got to check in, we ended up with an ADA room. I feel as though they forgot about us. Very disappointed in the whole experience at the hotel.😞
