About this property
Unplug & Recharge: Cozy Off-Grid Glamping
Experience a true nature escape with your family at Arizona Luxury Expeditions. Our safari-style wall tent is located on 30 private, secluded acres just 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon. Your family will have plenty of space with one queen and three twin beds, all outfitted with real beds, flannel sheets, and thick wool blankets for a comfortable stay.
This is more than just camping—it's an authentic, luxury experience designed to help you unplug and connect with nature. Spend your evenings gathered around your own private fire ring, with complimentary firewood provided. Our camp offers a shared outdoor shower (unavailable during the winter months of December–February) and flushable toilets, combining wilderness adventure with the comforts of a boutique hotel
Winter Shower Notice:
Please be aware that the on-site showers will be unavailable during the winter months (December–February) due to freezing temperatures in the Arizona desert. A clean and well-maintained shared restroom will still be available for guest use.
Getting Here:
Our property is just 30 minutes from the South Rim entrance of Grand Canyon National Park.
- By Car: From I-40, take State Road 64 North toward the Grand Canyon. At mile marker 219, turn right on Woodland Ranch Rd. Drive 3 miles, then turn left on Horizon Star Rd. After 1/4 mile, turn left into our driveway.
- Road Conditions: Our property sits on 30 acres of peaceful, off-grid desert landscape, which means the final stretch to reach us includes unpaved ranch roads. These roads are typical for rural Northern Arizona, mostly packed dirt and gravel with some naturally uneven sections.
To ensure a smooth arrival:
Any standard vehicle can reach the property in normal weather. Guests arrive in sedans, compact cars, and SUVs every week. You do not need a 4x4.
Drive slowly and take your time on the last 3–4 miles. The road is bumpy in spots due to the natural terrain, but going around 10 mph makes it very manageable.
Weather note: After heavy rain or winter storms, the road may be softer in some areas.
Most guests describe the drive as “part of the adventure” and love how the remote setting adds to the experience once they arrive.
- On Arrival: Continue along the gravel road another 1/4 mile until you reach two shipping containers. Park in the designated area, where your camp host will greet you and escort you to your dome.
- Parking: Free parking is provided onsite.
This well-appointed wall tent includes a queen bed and three twin beds, along with essential amenities like lighting, heating, flashlights, and phone chargers to make your off-grid stay seamless and stress-free.
