Great hotel with lots of potential and room for improvement. Food was great together with top shelf alcohol. One thing this hotel was lacking is staff members. Each bar had one bartender randomly two which extended wait times for drinks. Same thing was with restaurants. Long wait times. We spoke to couple from Canada that were at the same resort 3 years ago and service was much better. Another service that this hotel lacked was no service at the beach.

Overall, they weren't as friendly as at other resorts; please do not read as rude or not nice, just not as attentive. We wish there were more amenities as well; a proper spa and maybe some more activities.

Front desk was nice, other staff were not very friendly. 6 out of 8 restaurants you have to make a reservation ahead of time ( they were all booked ). Most of the outside seating by the buffet had MOLD all over it. Only ones that didn’t have much mold was the one that sun hits. Other people staying in the hotel were rude and acted like starving crack heads. With no manners or common sense. Buffet was the only option so we went, but I wouldn’t trust it being sanitary. Between how other Customers were handling it and I saw one of the worker just put things back when it fell off the plate. Food was not good at all. Would never stay there again. I’ve done volunteer work for homeless people and they don’t even act like the people who were staying there.

The bad: Need better activities during the day and night. The evening shows were amateur. Service is slow and staff inattentive. The Good: Property is well maintained, good pools and seating area. The resort itself was very clean and beautiful, and the pools were always well-maintained. We especially enjoyed the Italian and Mexican restaurants — both were delicious. However, there were several frustrations during our stay. The staff often came across as rude or uninterested, even when tipping, and it felt like “pulling teeth” just to get basic items like washcloths. There was almost no entertainment except for one night, and the buffet food was very repetitive. The other restaurants required reservations made the night before, which wasn’t very convenient. The beach was extremely small, and the view was mostly of cruise ships. On top of that, we were woken up every single night by very loud noise, except for two nights. This made the days exhausting and definitely affected our overall experience. Beautiful resort, but the service, noise, and limited amenities kept it from higher stars. We only ended up using the resort maybe two of the days because we ventured out — that’s where all the magical beaches and attractions are. Rental cars are a must!
