The apartment is located in the harbor houses right in the Wieker marina, in the heart of this small town directly on the Bodden. Downstairs in the building and in the immediate neighborhood, there are restaurants and small shops; there is also a grocery store and a bike rental shop in Wiek. The town has a well-attended sailing and surfing school; the waters off Wiek are very popular with surfers, kiters, and water sports enthusiasts, as well as anglers.
Wiek is a great starting point for long bike rides through Wittow and for hikes.
