Close to Going to the sun road. Frequent trains. Need reservations for restaurant. Squeaky floors. Very small room. Not well insulated from noise from other rooms. Quaint historic building. Parking across the street once rear parking fills up. Nearby Highland restaurant was good.

Excellent location, but the rooms were small and outdated . The floor was very squeaky , even upstairs. Hard to sleep, you could hear even the toilet flush . Very clean property. Their restaurant is very convenient ,good food and helpful staff.

Amazing Stay

Our stay at Belton Chalet was amazing. Such an quaint lodge. The woman at the front desk was so helpful and courteous (wish I could remember her name). The room was nice with little welcoming touches. We ate at the restaurant there and had a wonderful meal with the family. I would highly recommend staying here.

One of the first lodges built in West Glacier! Very charming historical place. Minutes drive from Glacier National Park Entrance! Clean and good food at restaurant. I would definitely stay again!!

If you want to stay in a historic early 1900’s destination hotel this it. Lots of atmosphere. If you want modern amenities, look elsewhere. Small rooms with creaky floors, no TV, no AC. Pleasant staff, clean and you couldn’t be closer to Glacier.

Be prepared for a quaint, cozy room. This isn’t a modern hotel with the usual modern amenities. Location is by active train tracks, which are loud.

We really enjoyed the historic aspect of Belton chalet. It certainly reminded me of my grandparents home from the 1940s. The personal note was very special and certainly a keepsake. The guests are like-minded people who were mostly that we met traveling for hiking at GNP. The complimentary coffee and pastries was wonderful. We had an enjoyable visit with other couples in the lobby. The parking is not adequate. We had to park our car across the road on gravel. It was dangerous crossing the highway, dark, exceedingly inconvenient. The staff was excellent! However, finding the check-in desk was very frustrating. We walked into the restaurant at the lower level. We walked into the lower level of the actual lodge building. And finally behind a bush, we saw a sign with an arrow that said check in. It was hard to see, and we spent probably eight minutes walking around, trying to find where the check-in desk was located.
