This is a beautiful hotel with a lovely bar and a bright dinning room. The included breakfast has options for all and includes hot dish options. The views on anyside of the hotel are wonderful. Rooms are beautiful, clean, and bed comfortable.

Good hotel in a stunning area. Hotel is very dated with anaglypta wallpaper and old fashioned shower about a metal bath. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food very good especially the breakfast although evening menu is a little limited

Change of management since we were last at Mallyan Spout. Definitely for the better. Lovely welcome, everywhere was spotless and smelt really clean. Great room overlooking the gardens. Lovely food and staff too. Couldn't fault our stay. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for one night to visit this lovely village. The staff were lovely. The property is very nice and has a great garden area to sit in this warm weather.The evening meal was first class as was the full Yorkshire breakfast.Will be staying again soon im sure.

Lovely old country hotel in an idyllic village. Was exactly what we needed after a busy day in Whitby and a long walk to Robin Hoods Bay along to coastpath. Staff were pleasant and helpful, room was a little hot but we were in the middle of a heatwave so to be expected. Maybe in the next refurb, air conditioning would be good. Otherwise lovely stay.

A lovely hotel in a very beautiful location. A perfect place to stay if you want to walk or explore the local area. The walk down to the waterfall was good though not one for everyone, the last few meters up the valley over rocks was a bit of a scramble and you definitely want to take it easy on the walk back up the hill. We saw a barn owl hunting in the fields behind the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice garden that was well maintained.
