Whitby is popular year round due to its many festivals and events, whether it’s the organised events such as the world famous bi-annual Goth weekender, steampunk weekends, music and folk festivals or just the wonderful atmosphere in the quaint fishing town, there is always something going on. Take an open top bus ride around the town to see what’s on offer, or take a boat trip in search of dolphins, seals and whales. The Cinder Track is another great walk in the area which leads you along a disused track through Hawsker to the beautiful Robin Hood’s Bay. Take a drive into the North York Moors and see some of the most amazing countryside in the country. The traditional seaside town of Scarborough is just a short drive away with its Sealife Centre, waterpark attraction and leisure village, or venture a little further and visit the walled city of York with its minster and National Railway Museum.
