No air conditioning. Fan was OK. The table area where the TV is needs sanding and repainted it is all down at the heel. The interior of the lobbies etc are bright but has a cool atmosphere and needs colour. It also needs a couple of Hot tubs to help with this. It is not a hotel, but a motel. But location is good in the Main Street and with supermarkets convenient as well as Macadonalds ad Burger King.

Pros: • helpful at check-in • super easy to get a cot added in (call up before you check-in to confirm) • Jet baths are great if youre lucky to get one of those rooms • extremely comfortable bed • 24/hr help if we needed it • room where we stayed was very private Cons: • Kettles (tried 4x different ones) - disgusting (calcified and metal flaking, old dirty water left at bottom with bugs in one of them) had to buy brand new kettles • No duvet covers (just a duvet squished between two sheets - Lazy) • Rooms smell musty and mildew - had to open up all the windows and air it out for 30 mins just to make it bearable • Water temps are either too hot or too cold - no inbetween • Water pressure goes from very weak to very strong constantly • Some lights don't work • literal poo stains toilets not cleaned after last occupants - unacceptable for the price when Mother in law has cancer and is imuno compromised

I always stay here when in Whanganui visiting whanau. Its not flash, but its always tidy and clean. It is a bit tired, but you dont stay here expecting the Ritz! Location is great.

Room was clean and tidy however bathroom looked dirty in places like the rubbish bin and shower. As we had a road facing room traffic was constant. Room also very warm which is great if it's a cold day.

Great location

Location is great near to everything. My boys minimizes their voices because there is a charge of $85 for noises. No sky Tv though just normal 5 Tv chanel boys wanting to watch movies. But other than that was good.

The property is undergoing renovations at the moment and the in-house restaurant is not available. We didn’t know this until check-in. The room was road facing/frontage, and traffic noise was ample. No lift/elevator available. Other than that, great stay. Would recommend.

The pictures do no match the state of the very dated property. It is under construction and not even connected to the Hotel. I had to access through a bottle-store carpark. No security lighting outside, very noisy and unsafe. Lights inside were difficult to find and electrical connections did not look safe. It was very cold with inadequate heating and TV didn’t work.

Mixed review. Bedding was good, heater was not working the first night. No housekeeping on public holidays (Matariki) so our beds were not made and bathroom not cleaned (one of the reason why I love to stay in hotels is because I dont have to do that). Renovated part (bedroom part) is lovely and modern. Bath very slippery (there is a plastic grip mat but still unsafe), old, shallow with and mould on silicone.
