About this property

The Little Bear Room at The Wildflower Hotel

Small in stature but rich in character, the Little Bear Room is The Wildflower Hotel`s coziest accommodation. One of the guest rooms from the original 1887 construction, this intimate retreat offers a rare opportunity to stay within the oldest part of the historic Wolff building.

A thoughtfully curated blend of Victorian and contemporary furnishings makes the most of the room`s charming proportions. Settle onto the cloudlike bench—affectionately reminiscent of a Great Pyrenees—or relax in the velvety shell chair with its versatile table, perfectly suited for writing, reading, or enjoying a quiet meal. At the heart of the room, a soft queen bed layered in warm textures invites a peaceful night`s rest.

Just a few steps down the hall, guests in Little Bear share a beautifully appointed full bathroom serving the hotel`s two original rooms. A charming common seating area and petite library offer an inviting place to linger over a book or enjoy a quiet moment outside the room.

Historic, intimate, and delightfully distinctive, Little Bear proves that some of the hotel`s most memorable experiences come in its coziest spaces.

What an amazing historical inn! Absolutely gorgeous with period furnishings and ambiance. The full size kitchen is so well stocked and supplied with any cooking or baking need a person could want. The checking was simple, the comfort and peace...unforgettable.

I had a wonderful stay here — it’s an amazing example of how to create a comfortable, welcoming space while still honoring the beauty and history of the building. The owner gave us a full tour and shared the story behind the property, which made the experience feel even more special. The location is perfect: an easy walk to the historic theatre, great restaurants, and local shops. Our room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully furnished with antique pieces paired with updated mattresses and linens for modern comfort. We also loved having access to the full kitchen. It made it easy to brew our morning coffee, put together a quick lunch, and wind down at night with tea. This stay truly blended charm, comfort, and convenience.
