Smoke from Casino permeates all rooms

The first room I was assigned to reeked of cigarette smoke (I requested a non-smoking room). When I tried to call the front desk to change rooms, the in room phone didn’t work, forcing a 200 yard walk back to reception. They put me in a different room that still smelled of stale cigarettes, but not as bad as the first room. At this point I gave up.

The walls were paper thin and the mattress was worse than laying on the floor. I am 6'2" and 185lbs, not overweight by no means. I would never recommend this particular location for individuals that are traveling long distance and attempting to get actual rest. Also, I was not aware of the resort fee that is charged when you check in. I was not there to gamble. I am formally requesting a full refund for that particular stay.

If you have ever stayed at the Reno Peppermill, don’t expect this to be similar. There is none of the elegance of the Reno hotel. It’s awkward to get into the hotel for check in (you can’t even tell where the check in is!). The restaurants have the same names as the ones in Reno, but the Mexican place doesn’t come close to the great food in Reno, and it’s twice as expensive. The name “Oceano” which is the great seafood place in Reno, is a buffet in Wendover. If you are just looking for a nice place to stay, it’s fine, but if you are looking for the luxury and atmosphere of the Reno Peppermill, this place doesn’t even come close.

The employees were just delightful. The casino was beautiful and the room was very comfortable (although I wish the beds had fitted sheets instead of flat sheets on the bottom)

it would BE more beneficial if the Hotel made an effort to put Senior’s rooms closer to the Casino and Restaurants. Our room was about as far away as possible making for a very long walk.
