It's not the fanciest, nor the largest. But it does exactly what it needs to do in a clean and quiet environment. Has a well kept pool as well.

Clean rooms, microwave and refrigerator in room, traditional Maine roadside motel, enjoyed the nostalgia of the stay. Locally owned and operated with owner and family on site. Appreciated the trees and lawn, close to the Rachel Carson preserve and The Maine Diner.

We were just there for an overnight, the check-in ending at 10 had us a little worried coming from far away. But other than that it was a great first experience in Wells Maine.

The staff was super sweet. My only complaints were that it had a weed smell, the mini fridge stopped working after a day, and the walls were very thin and I could hear the neighbors. Besides that, it was great for the price!

There should be towel racks added in the bathroom for used towels so they can be hung up a not have to be thrown on the floor

Staff was helpful on site, but we had a lot of difficulty with making our reservation when we needed to change the date. The Reservations company they use was much less than helpful, and a direct call to the motel received no reply until just before we arrived. Otherwise it went smoothly once we were there. Coffee was a little disappointing.

I had called ahead and was told they had grills …. Two were falling apart and there was no propane…. I would suggest getting park style charcoal grills and selling charcoal out of the office for a little mark up or people can easily grab a bag up the road

Bring your own towels because you get charged for them if you want to use them they're not even any in the bathroom and $8 for a floor mat by the way. I forgot what the price was for the towels but regardless.
