We have stayed here a few times. It is clean and the beds are pretty comfortable. The price point is great and Willis street is very central to most things. Parking is a bit tight, but that is the same with every wellington hotel and its only $25 which is cheaper than a lot of wellington hotels. Lots of good cafes not far away.

The property is tired. The carpets have stains, the decor is patched, and the rooms, and particularly the bathrooms, are basic. I was surprised to see the “earthquake prone building” notice behind reception and attached to the outside of the building. This building has been assessed at only 15% of the NBS and therefore earthquake prone. Now that I know this, I won’t be staying here again.
