I added breakfast to my stay, and a flyer in the room promised a full hot breakfast at the hotel's Cafe Vivian. Turns out, the reception lobby is also the "cafe", and it's just self-serve cereal (I didn't see any milk but there were a few yogurts) and stale toast. There's no coffee at all, and instead there's a kettle and some tea packets and instance coffee.
An ad in the room for Cafe Vivian, a non-existent restaurant. Do not be fooled by the offer of breakfast when booking this room!
The cafe advertised in each room is actually the hotel lobby, and serves only dry cereal and stale toast. Do not be fooled by the offer of breakfast when booking this room!

Paid $35/ day for secure parking. Obvious not secure, had a bag taken from my car at 530pm from someone off the street. Phone kept ringing with message light flashing, eventually unplugged it. Staff was super nice and helpful but the stay will cost me $350-$450 to replace stolen bag.

The room was very nice and modern, all the amenities needed! Very central area. The AC is not very strong so keep that in mind when booking an inside room. I would recommend this budget hotel as it is a great value for how nice it is!

The room was spacious, clean and tidy. Process of checking in and out is easy. The hotel is near to restaurants, many choices. The only problem we encounter during our stay is our next room, they were too loud using their door, banging when going in and out at 10pm. Otherwise the hotel superb!

At check-in the receptionist told us to use the "on line" check-in. In the past it hasn't worked so we were reluctant but have it a go. Got to where you swipe your cc and it failed. Receptionist not happy that she actually had to get us to sign the form. Either way she would have needed to deal with us to give us a room key. The room was clean and tidy on arrival however for 5 nights stay we got no service. In the past we have been serviced most days. I asked for towels to be replaced and for tea, coffee, toilet paper to be replenished on day 3. Got fresh towels but no used ones taken, and nothing else. Asked at reception the next morning, (different receptionist) who happily have me what I needed. We feel the standards are slipping here at Microtel. It's in a great location, the room we were in had a slightly softer bed than previous rooms we've stayed in so that was nice. I'm sure we will be back and hopefully customer service will be back to its previous standards.

Minimalist style room. Neat and tidy. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Had a cool slating roof window with automated blinds. Housekeeping did not clean our Rm on 2nd day of stay. Appreciated the staff accommodating us by leaving the cafe downstairs available to us to wait for our transport even after closing time.

Arrived at 1:25pm - Room was ready but the receptionist wouldn’t allow me to access the room until precisely 2:00pm unless they extorted $25 out of me. I waited in the public cafe area staring at the clock until 1:59pm - only then was I allowed to be issued with a keycard. I wouldn’t stay there again - Pretty poor way to treat your guests and lacks any level of customer service.

The room was quite dusty and the shower was a disaster: the faucet was falling down whenever I turned on the water, the shower base was wobbly, the soap dispenser had been ripped off the wall.
