Oldwood Cottage is a beautiful, character filled 17th-century cottage set in peaceful surroundings with stunning views. Perfectly located for exploring the local area whilst being in a secluded, idyllic location.

Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar are all less than a 20 minute drive and the World Heritage City of Bath is one hour away.

The space
This delightful, spacious cottage is full of beautiful woodwork and original features . The gorgeous farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped with an AGA stove, wood burner and large dining table, perfect for cooking for family and friends.

The light filled lounge is a great place to relax after a walk in the countryside. There is a wood burner, a smart TV and a glass-covered tile showcasing the cottage’s original well!

The sunroom and the lounge open onto a stunning wraparound, south-facing garden with panoramic views over the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury and the Quantocks. In season, enjoy fresh fruit straight from the orchard or gather around the fire pit on warmer summer evenings.

With five bedrooms, the cottage comfortably accommodates groups and families. Upstairs are two king rooms and two twin rooms (which can be configured as super-kings), offering flexibility for your stay. There are two family bathrooms and a downstairs WC downstairs. A fifth bedroom, located adjacent to the main house, features a king-sized bed and a serene desk area overlooking the Levels, perfect for quiet reflection or remote work.

There is parking for up to six cars between the garage and driveway.

Oldwood Cottage is the perfect setting to get together with family or friends and to relax in the peaceful and beautiful countryside.

Guest access
Guests will have full access to the cottage, garage and garden.

Other things to note
There is parking for up to six cars; there are two spaces on the driveway and one space in the garage, please note that 3 of the spaces are on grass where it can be a little overgrown.

Please note that the gardeners may visit during your stay. They come every 2 weeks, usually on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on the weather. Please get in touch if you have any concerns about the visit.

From October to April, we provide one bag of logs per stay. If you run out, most fuel stations in the area, as well as general stores, garden centres, etc., stock logs.

The Aga can be switched on for your stay for an additional charge of £15 per day. If this is something you would like, please request this at the time of booking.
