We were low on choices when trying to book for the NHRA event just down the road in Ennis - when we came across this listing. There were VERY few reviews and I hesitated to book, but I'm glad we did. The house is old and solid, clean, and the neighborhood was very quiet. We were too busy to get to enjoy any of the amenities, but the rest of the house was extremely comfortable. I was able to finish up some last minute work on the big desk Friday morning before we left, and very easily made breakfasts and dinners in the well-stocked and very organized/labeled kitchen, and there's a smart tv in every room. We even got to make some steaks on the "grill" in the house, as there's a searing setup next to the fridge. Pretty cool, never seen this. The pool looked clean and inviting, and the new hot tub area was gonna be perfect.. I just wish we had gotten to use them.We had an issue with the a/c in the bedroom area - and when I reached out to the host I got a response, explanation, and solution within 15 minutes. We will be looking to book this property again next year, but this time we'll bring the kiddos so they can enjoy the pool!

GET-A-WAY BEFORE SCHOOL

THIS place did not dissappoint! Just as pictured. Pool, diving board and slide were amazing for the grandkids. House was very clean, beds were comfortable and everything in the kitchen, bathrooms that you needed. Kids loved it. The neighborhood was quite but within 10 mintues to everything we needed. The Rockett Cafe was a very good place for dinner and Karoke if you like. We will stay again if were back in the vicinity. Epic Water Park was also a great place for the kids.Back to school getaway! The property was everything listed in the description. The pool and jacuzzi area was very spacious , and very well kept. The house was clean and well stocked, kitchen has everything i would have needed if you wanted to cook a large meal. Check in was super easy, and the host responed quickly to any questions we had. 10 out of 10 would definitely return.

Listing stated sleeping for 10. I counted only room for 8 unless couch is a sofa? We only had 7 so it didn’t affect us. Just something to be sure of if you need room for 10. I’m sure nice owner will explain

Waxahachie Staycation

We loved our stay! The house was just as pictured on the website. Our six and ten year old grandchildren loved the pool, whether it was in the four foot end coming down the slide or splashing in the ten foot end off of the diving board. The poolside changing room with shower and toilet was especially convenient. The beds were very comfortable. We grandparents appreciated the recliners in the living room and the high profile toilet in the half bath. The kitchen is fully equipped. The owners were very friendly, considerate and helpful. Since our house won’t accommodate out of town guests we are always on the lookout for a reasonably priced place to stay that’s not too far away.

Perfect spot to view the eclipse

Observily, this large house has been expanded to include a sauna, a fully enclosed sun room, a pool with covered deck, and an enclosed hot tub which we enjoyed a few times. The house was comfortable and well equipped for our stay. The hosts were charming and accomodating.
