This would be a perfect stay for a small family, or a family with children. This is not an apartment, it is a home above a basement dwelling. It is spacious and has a lot of unused space for children to play games, etc. The ad states it is a 2/2, which is why I reserved it to begin with (there were 4 of us traveling- some family, some not). It is a 1 1/2 bath. The bathtub/shower is in the master bath, which can create problems for people who are not necessarily direct family. I contacted the host and complained that the rental does not meet the advertisement that the ‘apartment’ is a 2/2 is false and related that 2 complete bathrooms were important to me and the group. I did not add ‘for privacy’ but I expected that to be understood. I also complained that the bed in bedroom 2 is basically a super single with no space for two adults. The host referred me to the photos and basically told me, your fault (I looked at the photos and I agree, my fault). The secondary beds are not for adults. The property has not been mowed nor was it clean. My clue should have been the dumpster in the yard and some sort of lumber, put together and overgrown. Toilet 2 was slow filling. It seems the place was hastily put together to rent ‘for the season’.I did request a rate change due to the false advertisement (2/2). I was told to vacate immediately, without regard to our group, with two very elderly members (85 and 83). I refused. See attached photos. Caveat Emptor.
