Not a traditional hotel - remote coded access. Off site parking available- 5 minute walk ($50 a night). Comfortable room, spacious. Breakfast included but small area and quickly crowded. Snacks and drinks available throughout the day. Walkable to Georgetown shopping area, but quiet street and more neighborhood like. Convenience store, small grocery next door (prepared, high quality options).

The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful! The room was well maintained and adorable. It has a European vibe and everything you need is provided. The location is fantastic and easy walk to anything you need. The gardens are so cute and hard to believe you are right in the middle of Georgetown. The property is so clean and well maintained. I definitely pan to stay again.

We loved our stay at the Poppy. A family of 4, we booked the Poppy suite and had more than enough room for 2 adults, 2 teens and all of our luggage. The teens loved the complimentary drinks and snack bar, which was always stocked with juices and fresh fruit. The outdoor area was beautiful. I would thoroughly recommend this guesthouse to anyone travelling to DC.

Wonderful location. Room was European sized small and there were some oddities (like no place to hang full-length women's clothes), but the staff I dealt with were warm and welcoming, the restaurant next door fantastic, and the help-yourself kitchen area was really nice to have.

The Poppy is THE BEST!!!! Love the vibe of the hotel and location. 2 of the 3 hostesses were great. One acted like it was a bother to ask questions and ignored customers in the morning. Room a little run down. Wall paper torn everywhere, trim popping up and warled, bed was very lumpy, worn in, and uncomfortable. Really, I’d give it a 3.5, but bumped to 4.

We really enjoyed our stay. Located in a beautiful neighborhood and very walkable to all main streets of Georgetown. The room was cozy and clean and the perfect size for a couples weekend. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast options were also yummy.
