I am very familiar with, and wanted to stay in, the Union Market area, and I am used to the quirks of boutique hotels, but I feel I was misled by other reviews. I upgraded in advance to their nicest room and it felt dirty, kind of creepy, and half-finished. The furnishings were bare, cheap, or extremely worn; the rugs were all sitting on bare floor and pulling up at the corners; the bedding was pilling; there was no toilet lid; and all the light bulbs were some kind of cheap purplish LED. My room was also loud and facing a busy street, but that isn't really within their control and wasn't a dealbreaker. After seeing the room I immediately left and went to another hotel despite not being eligible for a refund.
