Came for one night, but as soon as I saw it, decided to stay another night. If I could afford it, I would never leave)). It’s not just intricately designed, impeccably clean and cozy, it has a certain aura, a culture, a character… it’s not just a place to crush, - it’s an experience. Thank you for classical music, please don’t change it. Staff is tactful, but always there when you need them and friendly. Great location, middle of down town, I walked to Mall, but somehow very quiet. From now on, it will be “my” hotel every time I visit DC.

The staff were extremely kind and friendly. I arrived very early on my check in day, and they not only had a room available but I was upgraded to a suite. The room was extremely clean and well decorated. There is no in-room coffee or tea, and it’s only available in the lobby until 10:30am, but that’s a minor issue compared to the overall excellent quality of the hotel.

It was fine. The staff was nice. To me it felt a little too expensive for what you get. Same hard beds as even the lower cost hotels. Being historic and location should not mean you can charge 200 for a basic room. You do not even get a complimentary breakfast. Over priced.
