Our stay was okay but not ideal. Let’s start with some of the pros. Pros:1. Good location - The property is located in Shaw, right next to the Howard theater. It's an easy walk to food, CVS, Whole Foods, restaurants, etc. 2. The view - we stayed on the 7th floor of the apartment. It had nice view overlooking the skyline of DC and was beautiful to watch the sunset. Now let's get into the cons.Cons 1. Noise - With the VRBO being in Shaw, it is extremely noisy. There are ambulances every 20 minutes and a night club across the street that plays music till 2 am. This did not play a role in my overall rating, but it is something I wanted to highlight. 2. Cleanliness - There were some aspects that were completely missed during cleaning. As soon as you walk in there are black scuffs all over the walls. The floors were not swept or mopped. There was old food stuck to the floor and dog hair and dust scattered throughout. The fridge was also dirty and the fan in the bathroom was caked in dust. 3. Uncomfortable furniture, broken items - The couches and more specifically the beds were not comfortable. No extra blankets or towels either. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper in both bathrooms. The door to my parent’s bathroom wouldn’t close because it was broken. 4. Communication - I initially voiced my concerns about the property with the manager and received instant communication. After I voiced additional concerns I did not receive a reply.
