About this property
Lovely, 1 BR in Adams Morgan! Walk Everywhere!
You can't get a better location! This lovely, sun light filled 1 BR with exposed brick is in the heart of DC in the vibrant Adams Morgan neighborhood. Steps away from restaurants and great nightlife on 18th St. Easy access to all DC via metro, bus, bike or foot!
Walk to Dupont Circle, U Street, Woodley Park, National Zoo, the White House, Omni Shoreham, Marriot Wardman Park, downtown and SO much more!
This lovely, sunny, one bedroom apartment boasts exposed brick, large windows, and hardwood floors. In the bedroom, which faces the rear of the building, (away from Calvert St.), there is a queen size bed with a 12 inch, memory foam mattress, soft sheets, and cozy bedding. Luggage racks and shelving to store your clothes are in the closet.
In the main living area, there is a sleeper sofa that folds out to a queen size bed to sleep two additional guests. There is also a workspace with a desk and a table with seating for 4. Borrow a DC guide during your stay (please return it when you leave!) or help yourself to a book from our library.
The kitchen has basic cooking necessities, (including a single-serve coffee maker, microwave, toaster, etc.) a dishwasher, and basic knives and utensils. The apartment has a three piece bathroom (no bathtub) and fresh towels.
Cable and Wi-Fi are included, as well as a flat screen TV.
*For additional guests, we have two other apartments available in the same building. Please message me for details.
The unit has a key-less lock system. An access code will be provided about 24 hours prior to check-in. You are welcome to check in any time after 3:00 PM the day of arrival.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email, text, or call during your stay! We are more than happy to answer any questions or make recommendations. We have three small children (including an infant) so we may not be able to answer the phone right away (especially at night), but we will monitor messages and respond to emails as quickly as possible.
This apartment is located on Calvert Street between Woodley Park and the lively Adams Morgan neighborhood. Just steps to all the nightlife and restaurants on 18th Street and Columbia Road. Also walk to the National Zoo, U street, Dupont Circle, Cleveland Park, Mt. Pleasant, Columbia Heights, and Woodley Park neighborhoods. You can't get a better, more convenient, or more centrally located spot!
The apartment is a very short (5-7 minute) walk to the Omni Shoreham Hotel and The Line Hotel is about 2 blocks away. The Washington Hilton on Connecticut Avenue is about a 10 minute walk. This makes it an ideal location for anyone attending conferences or events at any of these locations.
You can easily access downtown DC and all the sites of the city. Walk to the National Zoo and other attractions.
PLEASE NOTE: Street parking is very hard to find. During the week, all parking in the neighborhood is 2 hour parking or resident only parking. If you choose to park on the street, please pay very careful attention to the signs (they are vigilant about tickets!). We strongly recommend taking public transportation (see Getting Around below). We do have one parking space available at the building. It is $25/night (about half the price of the local garages). If you are interested in parking, let me know, it tends to fill up quickly.
The apartment is just a short walk (less than a half of a mile, about 7 minute walk) over the bridge to the Adams Morgan/Woodley Park metro station (red line) . It is within 2 blocks of multiple downtown bus lines (L2, 96,42,43, etc,) as well as the Circulator bus. Capital Bikeshare is less than a block and Uber or Lyft are always available.
If you need help with public transportation getting to/from the airport or train station, just let us know!
As stated above, street parking for non-residents is VERY limited, we strongly encourage you to take public transportation. There is one parking space that may available at the building. It is $25/night (about half the price of local garages). If you are interested in reserving it, please let me know.
This historic building was built in 1908 and has beautiful crown molding, exposed brick, and multiple chandeliers. Relax on the front patio with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy people watching.
There is a coin-operated washer and dryer in the basement of the building that is available for use.
- Please note, pets are not allowed in the apartment, and smoking is strictly prohibited everywhere in the building and on the front porch. If there is any smoking anywhere inside the building or apartment, an additional cleaning fee will be assessed.
The apartment is in a small apartment building, please be courteous of the other tenants and keep the volume down, especially in the evenings and early mornings. Thank you!
