We arrived at the hotel around 2 a.m. due to heavy traffic, hoping to get some rest after a long night. Although we were told the hotel was recently remodeled and nice, the room we were given was not acceptable. The bed sheets were in very poor condition — they looked scratched up, as if damaged by a pet — and caused itching on my skin, making it impossible for me to sleep.
In the morning, I went to the front desk to request a room change. Unfortunately, the employee assisting me was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. He avoided eye contact, kept his head down the entire time, and had a very unpleasant attitude. While he did change the room, he issued a key that didn’t work. I had to come back down twice, only to be told he couldn’t provide a working key, which left me unable to properly access the room — especially frustrating since you need a key to move around the hotel.
This experience was very disappointing. Cleanliness and basic customer service are essential in the hotel industry, and this location fell short in both areas. The staff could benefit greatly from additional training in hospitality and guest service.
