Poor Communication

My husband and I were planning on staying here for Valentine’s/Anniversary Weekend. I was gery communicative, asking questions, sent a message before I booked, only to receive nothing from the owner. They didn’t even cancel our trip 2 days beforehand. We got our money refunded with no explanation and we were stuck with getting a hotel instead. The owner did not communicate with me and I had to find out through customer service that I was getting refunded. I also had to find out through customer service that the owner had been wondering if I had made it to the site the day of. I even texted the owner’s personal number to ask questions regarding check-in info that I should’ve received 5 days prior. I’m sure this place is lovely, but this put so much extra stress on my husband and I. I’m just happy we found a better place/hotel and had a lovely anniversary weekend.
