The hotel is fairly new and very modern with gorgeously decorated public spaces and the room we had. I would have liked a little more counter top space in the bathroom and in the room- there is ledge beneath the tv which in most hotels has a dresser to lay things out on. The ledge holds only the tv remote. The tops of the bedside cabinets are similarly very narrow - big enough for only a phone and nothing else. I like to spread out so was bothered by the smallness of those spaces. The room was large though ( two queen beds) as was the bathroom, which was just beautiful.
The staff at the front desk and the bodega and restaurant were super helpful and friendly.
The location is central for museums and other sightseeing but doesn’t have a lot of dining options within walking distance.
The roof deck and pool are not open to everyone. I wanted to see them but my room key (which you also use to access the elevators) wouldn’t let me go to the roof. Odd.
I did love the beauty of the decor and the overall cleanliness throughout and would stay there again.
