A warm and cosy beach holiday retreat - if you're looking for a peaceful escape and enjoy long beach walks , swimming, fishing , and perhaps the occasional surf, this is the place for you.
The house is situated atop a hill, overlooking Wilson Promontory and Waratah Bay township in South Gippsland. Waratah Bay is the best kept secret for beach destination holidays - one of the best in the world, it is a pristine stretch of sandy shore that enjoys the blue mountains of Wilson's Promontory as a backdrop.
Our house is your house for the duration of your stay. Entry is via Key Safe, for a convenient and stress free check-in.
Walk into a well loved space, furnished comfortably for your family to share and relax. The hub of the home on the bottom floor is open plan Kitchen, Living and dining, doused in daylight from the beautiful timber feature windows that line the home. The lounge features comfy couches, a TV + DVD player with a selection of family favourite movies and a combustion wood fire heater. There is a reverse cycle air conditioner in this central space of the home as well. The kitchen contains an electric cooktop and oven, modern kitchen appliances including fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle + more. The pantry has a small supply of essentials, which we welcome you to utilise.
There is an alfresco entertaining deck leading from the dining room, which contains outdoor seating and a gas BBQ.
There are 2 bedrooms located on the main floor of the home, containing 1 Double and 1 Queen bed.
The main bathroom features a beautiful claw footed bathtub, positioned to overlook the beautiful bushland surrounds, whilst maintaining all the privacy you need. Perfect for a wind down at the end of a busy beach day or to soak off the sunscreen from a day of hiking at Wilsons Prom. This bathroom also contains a toilet and vanity.
The second bathroom is connected to the laundry. This bathroom contains a shower, toilet + vanity, the laundry containing a second fridge, washing machine + cleaning essentials. The third bedroom is the showstopper of this home, located on a mezzanine floor, above the central living space of the house. Enjoy waking up to the breath taking views of the ocean and horizon, without moving a muscle from your Queen sized bed. These windows of course have large draw string blinds, if waking up with the sun is not quite your style. This room is open and light and also contains a balcony for extra opportunity to take in your surrounds.
Enjoy nature at its best - Kookaburras and Rosella's will visit you on the back deck , and you may see Deer and Kangaroo passing by. Echidna and Wombats are occasionally spotted as well. For the protection of wildlife, we ask that you do not bring your pets along on holidays with you. Similar to other homes on this street, our property does not contain any fencing.
But our house is a place to relax and unwind, even if you don't wish to see the sights.
A car is essential for travel around the area. Waratah bay is lovely community to walk around, with a friendly neighbourhood feel - especially in the summer months.
The house provides all you should need for a holiday away from home.

- Neighborhood
Waratah Bay is a traditional beach town, with no shops or service station.
Picturesque Sandy Point beach is a pleasant 6 minute drive away. The surf beach is patrolled during the Summer months.
Sandy Point recreation facilities suitable for children and families include the mini golf on the foreshore, the Surf Lifesaving Club, Children's Playgrounds, Tennis courts and a half basketball court.
You'll also find Shallow Inlet, famous for wind surfing and fishing.
Numerous recreation and relaxation facilities are within reach such as golf courses, bush walks, fine restaurants and of course the South Gippsland's popular wineries and art galleries. Accessible to both Wilson's Promontory and South Gippsland the location makes it an easy drive to the popular Squeaky Beach, Waratah Bay, Inverloch and Port Franklin.
- Getting Around
Enjoy the convenience of shopping facilities in Foster, just 20 minutes away, with the luxury of being able to return to the peace and tranquillity of Waratah Bay. The Sandy Point General Store provides convenience and supplies a selection of food, fishing goods, household items, magazines and a bottle shop.

- Other things to note
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property in Waratah Bay is on tank water and septic systems.
