Southside Rustic Luxury at The Shop

Located in the heart of wine country, farmland and orchards, the Shop is named for what it is --- an oversized workshop that we renovated with environmentally friendly practices into a luxurious country bungalo.

Located just across the road from historic Basel Cellars Estate, now known as Yellowhawk Resort, one of the top rated wineries in the area, and 5 minutes from over a dozen south side wineries; this spot is perfect for a tasting getaway. Forget traffic and the noise of the city, experience country life with finishes of luxury.

This stand-alone building with private entrance boasts 780 square feet of ADA accessible living space including a west facing living area, windows for days, and patio showcasing a view of the farmland and stunning sunsets. The Shop provides you with all you need to stay for the weekend, a week or even an extended stay. It comfortably accommodates 6 guests.

With an open floor plan living, dining and kitchen the Shop is perfect for relaxing, reading, watching tv and dining. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to use with stainless appliances, gas range, apron front sink, beautiful quartz countertops, great wine and coffee.

The master bedroom includes a king bed with cozy linens and goose-down filled duvets. Store your bags on luggage racks, or stay for a while and utilize our beautiful dresser and closet, stocked with hangers.

The second bed is a pull out hide-a-bed in the living area. A full size, memory foam mattress awaits with linens to suit.

A spacious bathroom with fully tiled walk-in shower and oversized shower head is sure to recharge your batteries. Spa inspired linens, plush towels, robes and cozy slippers awaits.

One of our favorite parts of the Shop is the large private patio where you can connect with family and friends while sitting around the spacious outdoor table and BBQ on your own gas grill. A fire pit is available upon request. Even with the country setting, you are just 4 miles say from downtown.

Bikes, kayaks and paddle boards are available to rent downtown and we highly recommend you check out Outside Walla Walla’s website for bike and hiking trails close to town (outsidewallawalla.com).

Eco-sustainable Practices:
We built the shop with the future in mind. To start, we indtalled radient heat, concrete floors to maintain a comfortable temperature year round. The on-demand hot water heater is a dream come true and we bought all energy efficient appliances and lightbulbs. We offer toiletries such as shampoo, condition, and body wash - all are in glass continers that we re-fill to reduce plastic use. Reusable shopping totes and recycing is available on-site. Futher, we clean with eco-friendly, vinegar based products (vodka added for disinfectant), using re-usable cleaning cloths.

EV charging stations are within in just a few miles - Amavi and Caprio Cellars are both within 3 miles. Caprio offers free charging, as with free wine tasting and tapas!
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private patio. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

Wonderful Stay

We had a fantastic time at your Shop and will likely return again next year. The accommodations were exactly what we expected based on the VRBO description. We spent the weekend wine tasting and enjoying the downtown vibe the location of the Shop was perfect for all of that.

Wonderful spot in wine country

Clean spacious accommodation, well equipped and owners very accommodating and responsive. Loved sitting outside by the fire pit listening to wild turkeys in the distance (and one wandered right into the yard during the day!). Location was convenient but also quiet and private.

Fantastic spot for wine getaway!

This may be the nicest VRBO I’ve stayed in to date! So many small details were clearly thought about to make the stay so comfortable. Meghan was so responsive and helpful. The outside space is a wonderful place to relax and make food. Also love the close proximity to the south side wineries in walla walla.

Family trip at the shop

The property and host were great. The outside fire pit and patio area were a great spot to hang out and the grill made some tasty steaks. The inside was so nice and clean and the kitchen was so spacious and filled with all the kitchenware needed to cook a nice breakfast and dinner. The host was so accessible and welcomed us with wine and cookies which started our stay off on a great note. Will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay

The property and host were great! One of the most comfortable, clean, well equipped places we have stayed. A few minute drive from the South side wineries. Beautiful sunsets on a relaxing, quiet patio. Only thing you could hear were cows in the distance. All part of the experience! Meghan was responsive and flexible. We would definitely come back again!

The Perfect Getaway

This was our first child free getaway and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway! This location is close to downtown and countless wineries, with easy access to the main roads. At the same time, it’s very private and quiet. We enjoyed everything that Walla Walla had to offer and came home to a beautiful, clean, modern and cozy space. The sunsets are unbelievable on this property and we even got to see hot air balloons right overhead. Amazing hosts, every special detail was taken care of allowing us to truly relax, unwind and have fun! Thank you!!

Perfect South side location

The space is fantastic! Very close to South side wineries but you feel like you are miles away from everyone. The property is beautiful with plenty of seating inside and out. The bed is very comfortable. My only suggestion is, blinds in the bedroom. While there are curtains, it was still bright enough in the early morning that it would have been nice to keep it a little darker.

Such a perfect spot, especially for a couple, two. Clean, well laid-out. Beautiful outdoor seating, everything you could need indoors. 10 minutes to downtown and in the heart of wine country. Fabulous, thoughtful hosts, fabulous place.

Amazing place!

We felt right at home and never wanted to leave this comfy spot! From the welcome bottle of wine to the cozy beds, we loved every detail of this place! It was super clean but didn’t chemically make my wife sick. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We want to bring our boys back to hang in the loft. Thank you for your hospitality!

thoughtfully laid out private retreat

This was one of the nicest VRBO properties I've had the pleasure of visiting. The space was light, airy, very thoughtfully laid out, well equipped, and hospitable. If I was going to build a spare dwelling space for myself I don't think I could do better than this one! The stove and barbecue were excellent for cooking and grilling, the patio was inviting and peaceful, both for coffee in the morning and for a drink while enjoying the beautiful view of the sunset. Oh and the bed was extremely comfortable as well, making for a very quiet, restful, and peaceful stay. Hope to stay here again in the near future!

Wine country girls birthday weekend

We couldn’t have picked a more perfect place to celebrate our birthdays and take a much needed break from our kids. Meghan was an amazing host. I really appreciated all the recommendations she had since it was our first trip to Walla Walla. The Shop had everything we needed and was very clean. We will definitely be back to explore more of Walla Walla and can’t wait to stay here again.

Wonderful first visit to WW wine country

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at the Shop. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the wineries, downtown restaurants, and a few easy walkabouts at Pioneer Park and Barrington Lake. Honestly I wish we had more time to head up further into the Blue Mountains and taste more local wine. The Shop is very well thought out, well stocked, and incredibly relaxing. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you for a great experience.

Wine Country Getaway

This place is a real gem. Slightly out of Walla Walla, and perfectly quiet with no road noise. Right in the heart of several wineries. Our host, Meghan, was very helpful in guiding us to super places to eat and great wineries to enjoy. We had a perfectly relaxing few days and will very likely be back.
