A short stroll to Lake Taupō and the legendary trout fishing mecca, Waitahanui River. This Soho-style container home offers a unique fusion of sleek urban design and immersive natural beauty.

Enjoy the sun-soaked deck, fish the river mouth, or take a dip in the lake.

Perfect for solo travellers or couples looking for a stylish base to explore Taupō's geothermal wonders, fishing, hiking or sporting events. A convenient stop in the middle of New Zealand's North Island without having to go through downtown Taupō. Easy access to Rotorua, Napier and state highway 1, north or south.

Container Stay has been made by a NZ professional tiny home builder based in the Gold Coast. It has been built to NZ code compliance standards and has used a single use container that has carried no toxic or dangerous goods.

Mill Road offers visitors a quieter, more intimate slice of Taupō—far from the bustle, but close enough for easy access to cafes, hot pools, and hikes.

This place is now my go to whenever I come down to Taupō. My partner and I were so pleased with our stay here. It was so modern and clean and had everything you could possibly need. The extra stuff provided such as tea and coffee, shower essentials and extra towels and hairdryers truly came in handy, and a ice cold jug of fresh water was also placed into the fridge which we really appreciated after a long drive from Auckland. You can see that the host went out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Check in and check out was so simple and the host David was so lovely. Close proximity to Taupo aswell, just a 10 min drive away on the other side of the lake. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
