Exploring Sumba

The hotel does not provide many comforts of other hotels but is clean and look nice. There is no shampoo, conditioner or gym. The breakfast buffet has limited food options and the beach is not very nice.

Stay away from this hotel

This review is less about the condition of the hotel but rather the service i experienced from seeing the way the owner of the hotel treats its guests and empolyees. I have had a chance to see the so-called owner during my stay, had a personal encounter with him and saw personally the way he treats his employees. The hotel is small and since there wasn’t that much guests, it was very easy to get to see all the people’s day-to-day activities. I must say he was very rude, impolite and has one of the worst attitude i’ve ever seen, considering he is the head of the hotel. He vividly and deliberately scold his staff in front of his guests for simple mistakes(a staff dropped a spoon during table cleanup at breakfast), shouted at guests’ driver for not following parking rules (given the rules were not visibly clear) in front of their guests, and the staffs were visibly not comfortable being around him. Will not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Please stay away from this place

9月に5泊利用しました。 ワインガプ空港の往復を無料で送迎してくれます。 広いエントランスでチェックインを済ませ、部屋に行くと少しして荷物が運ばれてきます。 ウェルカムドリンクはエントランスでいただくか、お部屋でいただくか選択できました。 部屋はシンプルですが非常に清潔です。 アメニティは大きなバスタオルとフェイスタオルが２枚ずつ、歯ブラシセットが２組です。 設備は大きな壁掛けテレビ、電気ケトル、電話など基本的なものがあり、金庫や冷蔵庫は私の利用した部屋にはありませんでした。 バスルームはシャワーのみです。 お湯は問題なく使用できましたがやや水圧が弱く感じました。 バスルームの設備はシャンプーとコンディショナーが一緒になったものと、シャワージェルしかないので、他に必要なものがある場合は持参することをお勧めします。 また、床が大変滑りやすいので、お年寄りやお子様と宿泊する際は十分気をつけてください。 ただ、ありがたいことに滑り、防止のマットが2枚用意されていました。 こちらを使用すればだいぶ改善されます。 特に気になる匂いなどはありませんでしたが、お風呂上がりなど水回りを使った後はややバスルームにやや下水の臭いが上がってくる日もありましたが換気扇が働けば気にならなくなる程度です。 朝食は標準的なお食事がいただけて、いつも美味しかったです。 メニューは日によって異なりました。 周辺に飲食店が全くないため、お昼ご飯や夕食もレストランでいただきましたが、非常に適正な価格で美味しいものがいただけました。 食器類も清潔で一部の口コミでは音楽が大音量で流れていたともありますが、私が宿泊した日に限ってはそういったものはありませんでした。 アクティビティとしては、自転車のレンタル、乗馬があります。 自転車は30分単位で利用ができるそうです。 プールも非常に綺麗で何度か利用しましたが、塩素のような匂いもほとんどなく快適でした。 スパもありますが、バリ島のように複数のメニューがあるわけではなく、非常にシンプルなメニュー構成となっていました。 スタッフの皆さんもとても優しく、私は英語が全く話せないのですが、私の拙いインドネシア語でも会話をしてくれようという姿勢がとても嬉しかったです。 モーニングコールをお願いしましたが、時間どおりに起こしていただけますので早朝便に乗る場合も安心です。 移動手段を尋ねたところ、ホテルのツアーではなく配車アプリをダウンロードするといいよと親切に教えていただきました。 スンバ島に来る際はmaximのアプリをダウンロードしてくることをおすすめします。 星4.5の理由をお伝えします。 （ほとんど私の要望なのですが‥） ①スパのメニューに日焼け後のケアのメニューを追加してほしいです。 スンバ島は日差しが強く日焼け後の肌の鎮静メニューがあったらいいと思いました。 ②プールエリアにあるシャワールームに着替えやタオル等のちょっとした荷物を置ける台があると便利だと思いました。 ③アメニティに綿棒があれば嬉しかったです。 近隣にはコンビニ等何もなく、市内への移動は大変でしたが総じてコスパが良いホテルだと感じました。 今後もスンバ島を訪れた際は、こちらを選択すると思います。
