Enjoy peaceful Big Island Hawaii in a Contemporary Hawaiian Bed & Breakfast set in a Tropical Rainforest directly outside Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. The custom designed & built Craftsman Cottage style home features artisan beds with fine linens, private baths, cozy fireplaces and a tropical breakfast.

We are nestled in a native Hawaiian rain forest in Mauna Loa Estates with giant ferns and Ohia trees in the storybook arts community of Volcano Village.

Kipuka is a bright cheerful room with unobscured views of the lush fern forest. The screened in porch is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or to relax after a long day in the park. Kipuka is named after a Hawaiian term for an "island" of land completely surrounded by one or more younger lava flows.

Gas grill available on request. Room shares mid-sized fridge with one other room.

Lava Pond Lodge Bed & Breakfast is located in the storybook village of Volcano Hawai'i, a community of artists, writers and scientists. We are secluded in the forest yet just 5 minutes from the entrance of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park with its spectacular hiking trails, scenic vistas and lava viewing.
