Very helpful reception who recommended a local restaurant Porta64 which had good food but no everything was available . We were under the impression that we could take dinner at the hotel . But only breakfast was available . Which was very good .

Unique in Viseu

Right in the centre of old town the hotel is actually built into the fortress/city wall. Room was spacious, clean and beds comfy. Areas of the hotel felt almost like a living museum. Certain areas are in need of a refresh (i.e. hallway carpets) but this would not stop me from staying again in such a unique property.

This modern hotel is in a very old stone building. The rooms are beautiful and big. Parking is convenient, right across the street. Our GPS took us under the arch; don't do that. Stay to the left or go around again in the very narrow streets. Breakfast is wonderful and includes both hot and cold choices. This is a central location, so you can walk to all historic sights.
