The place was extremely nice, as you have access to the garden that gives on the church ruin. The room was compact but clean and practical and the bathroom was great. We did not try the breakfast as we left too early but we got a voucher for a breakfast on the ferry. We had a fika in the hotel and it was really good. There is no elevator for the room upstairs, but they also have rooms on the ground floor if needed. Great advice from the reception on what to do in Visby.

It was great to explore the ruins so near by along with the botanical garden. The staff was so nice, Margta was so helpful with parking, maps and places to go see around the island. We stayed in the basement room with the sauna and it was a fun experience with relaxing at the end of our tour days. Room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel St Clemens. The hotel is directly adjacent to the historic church ruins and is central in beautiful Visby. The staff was wonderful. You can expect the feel of a classic inn at this location. Our room overlooked the botanic gardens. The breakfast was lovely as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Unique, Historic Inn Near Center of Old Town Visby

Historic hotel with ancient church ruins as one wall of our room. Delicious breakfast buffet with local cheeses and honey. Near the center of the walled Old Town, convenient to restaurants, shops, grocery store, and cathedral. Staff were friendly, helpful, and considerate, and spoke excellent English.

This place is terrific. If I were to come back to Visby I would want to stay here again. The location is excellent. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They helped us when we were late for our dinner reservation. The staff will even park your car as the parking spaces are tight as one would expect in an old walled city. The breakfast was fantastic the best we had in Sweden.

Amazing hotel with great staff! I will definitely be back! Some of the things I appreciate the most was the beautiful buildings adjacent to the old church ruin, very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, I could easily check in during the night since my boat came in after midnight - much appreciated!
