House has huge wrap around deck on front also has a large screen porch with plenty of seating or enjoy fire pit great fishing and swimming 1/2 mile away. property is 5 miles from town farmers market every weekend. tons of restaurants and shopping. canoeing close by. many concerts downtown. 2 wine vineyards within 10 min away.

Beautiful location, beautiful home. Chris was extremely responsive and accommodating. The town is lovely, with great food and shops only 10 min away. Great farmers market on Saturday. Hiking trails nearby and both road bike and mountain bike options

This was a good size home and having 3 bathrooms was great! Chris was a good host and answered my questions prior to arrival. Like others have said, the floors are extremely squeaky so it’s tough to sleep downstairs when others are awake upstairs. The privacy of the master bedroom is non-existent with glass french doors and an open ceiling to the main living area. It worked for us because we were friends/family.

Beautiful property

We had a great time in viroqua and the house gave us plenty of space to explore. The unique decor also made for a fun backdrop to our adventure. The proximity to town is also fantastic. The property and views are lovely. There are a couple aspects that make this house not great for families with small children. There is a steep set of open stairs going to the basement that cannot be securely blocked off. Also, the floors are extremely squeaky so once the kids went to bed in the basement we needed to stop walking around upstairs. Also there is an AC unit that is in the open downstairs so we couldn’t let the kids play down there without an adult.

Family visit & get away

We took the weekend to get away, celebrate Syttende Mai, and visit other family. The area was a perfect peaceful getaway away from everything. Only 9 minute drive to town but felt way out in the country in your own world surrounded by trees. Beautiful log cabin feel. Host was always responsive and helpful. Would rent again.

Spacious and well-equipped ...

Ideal spot for a family gathering of three couples -- plenty of space; plenty of those small food items you put in refrigerator door (but don't want to buy for just a two night stay). Chris is a very responsive host. And if you come with two EV's, there are two external outlets (both 110v) for slow charging. A bonus. Nearest charger is in the Food Coop parking lot in Viroqua - no charge.
