Just perfect!

Beautiful accommodation in a peaceful location. Perfect blend of old and modern. Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of amenities, including two pools, games and little nooks and crannies to sit and relax. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

Very tranquil place. Was so tired after my camino walk so didnt use any facilities or socializing. Room was big and very original interior. Slept like a baby. Perhas the price point is a bit high concidering the location.

A jewel in Portugal

The owner is great and very personable. The proper that’s been a project he has been working on for 20 years. It is wonderful and historic. The food was exceptional.

Wonderful place, sleep quality so-so

This is a gorgeous property in an amazing location. The grounds, with 2 pools and various outdoor sitting areas are a bit of a maze and very intriguing. When we got off the Camino we spent a couple of hours sitting under a pergola relaxing, journalling and chatting, drinking in the surroundings and the views (as well as a little vinho!). We had what they called a family room but was in fact a large suite with two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom, complete with clawfoot bathtub. Everything was clean and in reasonable repair. The downside for us was that neither the bed nor the pillows were comfortable, detracting from what otherwise was a wonderful stay. Service was great, breakfast was adequate, and they machine washed and dried a load of clothes for us for free. All in all a very good stay at a beautifully authentic historic quinta.

Great Camino hotel!

This was a VERY long day of walking and we were very happy to arrive and jump in the pool when we got there. We found beer and wine in our rooms that was so cold and not very expensive, and our room had a nice little patio off the side that we could sit out and enjoy our beers. The management was very well organized and nice, and the breakfast was good. We would definitely stay here again!

It was a wonderful surprise to find a place like this in a small village of arcos Portugal. The building was very well redone and the rooms were large. I had supper there as well and it was excellent.

Beautiful place with charming staff

The Quinta is a beautiful residence with a very authentic garden/pool area. We loved all of it, including our room within the old walls. The staff is charming and very helpful and there are lots of things to explore in the surrounding area. Our day trip to Porto with the tuk-tuk ride was a perfect combination of history and sightseeing. We recommend the Quinta and would love to return for a longer stay than 2 nights.

Great potential but not quite there yet

Amazing location and such a great space but in need of a major upgrade. The courtyard and pool areas are great but there is just too much clutter around outside like old armchairs and even older looking table football/table tennis table which gives the feel of someone storing all their unwanted items before they throw them away. The reception area is dark and quite uninspiring and the dining area is crammed into a really small space which doesn't inspire you to want to eat there. The rooms were OK, but not decorated particularly tastefully. The owner was a very helpful guy who was clearly doing his very best, but we got the impression it was just too much for him to run on his own and we only ever saw one other member of staff. Great location with amazing space to have a potentially fantastic venue but clearly needs an overall and good tidy up of the the outdoor space!
