Our Villa is now covered by The Clean and Safe standard set by Turismo de Portugal.
The Villa is located on the 4* Domus Iberica complex on the outskirts of Burgau, in the Western Algarve. The spacious porch, with disabled access, leads into the hall, with separate toilet, then into the large lounge with dining area. Off the lounge is a well equiped kitchen with a breakfast bar. Both the kitchen and the lounge open onto the south facing pool and patio area, which includes table and chairs for al frecso dining and a BBQ. The pool is approx. 4m x 8m.
The 2 bedrooms are on the first floor, the master bedroom having its own south facing balcony and ensuite shower room. The second twin bedroom has separate shower room. We can sleep upto 5 people as we have a put-u-up bed, suitable for a SMALL person, and there is a cot available. Fiber Optic Broadband access is now in the House and we have multinational TV.

The house is located on the outskirts of Burgau village, which is a charming old fashioned fishing village with a superb safe sandy beach. It is just a 2 minute walk to the village, with everything you need, including a number of bars, restaurants and cafes and just 5 minutes to the clean sandy beach, but it is a rather steep hill to walk down, but you can drive. There are many beaches, bars and restaurants close by. WiFi access is available in a few of the cafes.

Burgau stands on the edge of the Costa Vicentine National Park, with lots of cycle and walking trails to enjoy. Of course being the Algarve there are many Golf courses within a 20 minute drive, the nearest being San Antonio, but also Palmares, Espiche, Boa Vista and Penina. There are many activities for all ages, from the sports club in Burgau to the zoo at Lagos, to surfing on the west coast to horse riding at Almadena.

Lovely, quiet house with everything you could need. The inflatable pizza was so brilliant in the pool and kitchen so well equipped we managed to cook in a few nights. Five mins walk to beautiful shops and cant recommend the italian on the corner enough, we went twice !

Wonderful stay in Burgau

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa in Burgau. We are regular visitors to Burgau and know what a special place it is, but this was our first stay at this villa and we thoroughly enjoyed. The villa is in a great location, a short walk from the centre of the village and easy walk to the beach. The villa is beautifully clean, has a lovely pool and fantastic amenities and everything you could want for a lovely, easy family holiday. Thank you, we will be back!

Lovely townhouse just a short walk from beach and restaurants. House was well equipped with everything we needed, making it an excellent home from home. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Sun around the pool all day. Would recommend if looking for a relaxing holiday. If you haven’t been to Burgau before it is only small, not somewhere if you are looking for a party vibe,but this is our third visit to the area and thoroughly enjoyed our stay

STAYED IN BURGAU MANY TIMES. THIS HOUSE WAS THE BEST.

For those who do not know Burgau this small development is near the village and the beach. A few minutes walk to both. Stayed six times in Burgau and without a doubt this was the best equipped house we have stayed in The ooool etc was spotless as was pool area. Do not hesitate to rent this house if going to Burgau.

Stunning.

We arranged a long weekend at the villa and I would recommend a visit 1 million%. The property is clean and tidy and does exactly what it says on the tin. Lesley was extremely helpful in supplying information on the location and facilities in the area. The local people are warm and welcoming and there is a stunning beach with some absolutely amazing restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. We would highly recommend and we will be going back.

Perfect house for an Algarve Vacation!

I cannot write enough wonderful things about this townhouse and the town of Burgau! I'll start with the townhouse. It was perfect for our family of 4. (Kids ages 7 and 5) They loved the pool and we loved the outside patio and dining table. We ate breakfast outside every morning while the kids swam. The patio is also perfect for a glass of wine! The kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms are nice sized and both have air conditioners in them. We loved all of the beach toys that are provided and took chairs and toys with us to the beach every day. The townhouse is a very short walk in to town and the beach. In fact, we would go to the beach in the morning and then come back to the house for lunch. Lesley was very responsive before we arrived and Ana was wonderful while we were there. We didn't have any issues, but if we had, I have no doubt that she would have been very responsive! And, as for the town of Burgau... It absolutely exceeded my expectations! Burgau is the quintessential European beach town- small cobblestone streets, whitewashed buildings, plenty of cafes and restaurants. It was wonderful! The beach was small, but perfect for our family. The first two days we were there, the ocean was calm like a lake. The rest of the days there were some waves and there were some surfers and lots of boogie boarders in the water. There is a nice cafe on the beach and you are also able to rent chairs and umbrellas right on the beach. We went to 2 other beaches during our time in Burgau, but kept coming back to the Burgau beach because we loved it the best! There is a grocery store within walking distance to the townhouse that had everything we needed. Our stay was amazing and we can't wait to go back!

Beautiful town home in a very special village in the Algarve

This wonderful town home in the quaint, small village of Burgau is the perfect base to explore the Algarve! Only a few minutes from an awesome beach (Praia), though with steep streets to wander down (& then back up!). The restaurants were all excellent..especially the Burgau Beach Bar, the Barraca, and Agua no Boca in Salema (a short drive away..book in advance!) But the main reason to stay here is the laid back, more natural base in Burgau with wonderful accommodations to return to after a day of exploring. This home is as described, with a full stocked kitchen, very comfortable 2 bedrooms upstairs with a balcony off the master, 2 and 1/2 baths, very quick WiFi, and was immaculate on our arrival..There are 4 pool chairs, as well as cushions in the front alcove with beach gear. We have fallen in love with Portugal, from the cities of Porto, Lisbon, Coimbra and Evora, and then to the wild Algarve. The SE of the Algarve is definitely more "touristy", with many concrete resorts and apartments nestled in with great cities such as Tavira and its old city..as well as many small villages en route. But our hearts in the Algarve belong to the SW..and this home! Thank you for an incredible stay!

Lovely Villa

Third time in Burgau, 1st time in this villa. Very homely, meeting all of your holiday needs. Staff at the end of the phone in case of difficulties, but there shouldn't be any as everything is catered for. Burgau village itself is a pleasant 5 minute walk, you never need leave the village if you don't want to. A perfect retreat to get away from it all.
