Our new villa (completed 2021), is ideally situated in a convenient location on the edge of the old part of Salema and features lovely views of the village, the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding countryside.
Casa Lema is well insulated and sleeps six in three rooms. Two bedrooms on the ground floor with associated bath and shower rooms and a delightful first floor attic style area with sloping ceilings comprising a room with two beds and an adjoining landing and shower room. A patio door from the Attic Room leads directly out onto the large roof terrace with stunning sea view.
The large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area has a well equipped kitchen, a smart TV, comfortable sofa seating for 7 and features two large patio doors which fully connect the area out onto the pool terrace, with lovely sea view beyond. All windows and patio doors feature electrically operated vented security drop shutters.
Casa Lema is located in a small cul de sac with easy on-plot gated parking (2 spaces). It is only an 8 minute walk down the peaceful, traditional, cobbled street (Rua dos Pescadores - Fishermen's Road) to the beach and restaurants of this idyllic West Algarve fishing village.
Only a 70 minute drive from Faro airport, all ages will appreciate the beautiful beaches with soft golden sands, the friendly restaurants and bars and the stunning coastal walks, cycle routes and scenery in this picturesque National Park area.
Visit the nearby dramatic West Coast surfing beaches, explore the historic and vibrant nearby town of Lagos, or simply relax in Salema or the many other south facing beaches on the West Algarve coastline.
Play golf or tennis – only a 5 minute drive away.
Enjoy the south west facing pool terrace, sundowners on the roof terrace and leisurely barbecues (gas barbecue provided).

A resounding success

The details barely give the villa proper credit. The location is great - a 10 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and a couple of minimarkets. Uphill coming back! Plenty of walks nearby and easy to visit neighbouring villages and towns by car or taxi. The villa is spacious, fully equipped and thoughtfully set up. The owner is a pleasure to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending.

Family friendly Villa

Casa lema Villa it is welcoming, spacious and very well presented villa. Perfectly positioned for exploring Salema and an ideal location for visiting the surrounding area (Sagres, villa de Bispo, Luz and Lagos). Wonderful restaurants only a short walk away and a beautiful beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return to Casa lema Villa in the future.

A perfect way to start our Portuguese adventure

Salema is a great place to stay in the Algarve. Quiet little village with beautiful beach. With a car it is easy to venture to many other locations like Luz, Sagres, Lagos etc. We beached, hiked and biked. This was the perfect place to come to and plunge in the private pool and relax on the pool deck looking out over the ocean and town of Salema. We would definitely recommend and is a good choice when travelling as couples. Thanks for an amazing start to our trip!

Excellent property and holiday

The property was great overall, nice location as only half a mile or so to the beach and the centre of Salema. It's well equipped and the kids had a great time splashing in the pool, which was a good size for them and good for adults bathing rather than swimming. It was a good size for us, a family of 5. There's a barbeque and sun loungers, and generally we felt relaxed spending a large portion of the holiday simply relaxing by the pool and keeping cool. Salema itself was an ideal destination for a young family, as it wasn't too busy and overbearing. The beach was ideal, not too quiet but not at all busy. Plenty of restaurants to eat at. The food shops are more like convenience stores, but that's expected really as it's a fairly small place. Supermarket is a couple of kilometres away. We also found the breeze every day meant it was cooler than the resorts closer to the airport. I would definitely consider returning to the property and Salema.

Beautiful Salema

The villa was fabulous and Alison has been fantastic right from the start when we booked. The pool is wonderful and the views amazing... we had great weather and it was wonderful to be back in Salema where we have visited for over 28 years! Great places to eat in Salema and it was so relaxed- thank you Alison and family- highly recommend this villa. The resident 5 flamingoes floating in the pool are totally mesmerising and feel very lifelike! We will be back!

We had such a great time in July and the villa was stunning in every way. The views from the pool and roof area were brilliant and it is such a nice and quiet area to relax and have quality family time. The whole villa is excellent quality and in great condition. Wie hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und hatte eine schöne Aussicht. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Es gab zwar Nachbarn, aber die waren kaum zu hören. Ausserdem sehr nett. Der Weg nach Salema rein war nicht weit.

perfekter Urlaub

Wir haben uns in der Villa und der kleinen Stadt Salema sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus war bestens ausgestattet, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin Alison war sehr nett und zuverlässig, sie hat sich sehr gekümmert. Es gibt in der Umgebung viel zu unternehmen und Salema war, im Gegensatz zu anderen Städten, nicht zu touristisch. Die Gegend ist wunderschön und der Abend lässt sich entspannt im Pool und beim Grillen ausklingen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus in prima Lage mit perfektem Service

Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin Alison war hervorragend und sehr zuverlässig, Ankunft und Abreise sehr unkompliziert. Das Haus ist groß genug, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, recht neu, sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Küche und Bad sind bestens ausgestattet. Der Blick aus Meer und der Pool sind super. In wenigen Minuten ist man zu Fuß in Salema, einem Ort mit Charme und ohne Massentourismus, wo es alles Nötige zum Einkaufen gibt, Mini-Supermärkte mit Brötchen und zahlreiche Restaurants, die alle ihr Geld und einen Besuch wert sind. Obwohl Salema nicht groß ist, braucht man daher zum gut Essen gehen in keinen anderen Ort zu fahren. Mit dem Auto ist man in wenigen Minuten auf der Bundesstraße und an einem größeren Supermarkt. Viele schöne Strände an Süd- und Westküste sowie Lagos sind innerhalb von 20 Minuten Fahrt leicht erreichbar. Uns hat das alles sehr gut gefallen. Gibt es auch Nachteile? Die Matratzen sind etwas hart, eine elektrische Espressomaschine wäre prima, und es ist eben ein Reihenhaus, so dass man die Nachbarn auf der Terrasse hört, wenn sie da sind. Ansonsten ist es aber sehr ruhig. Das Gesamtpaket war letztlich für uns klasse. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
