The studio space was great for the two weeks I needed. Modern and clean (ignoring the common hall carpets), friendly and helpful staff, decent and affordable laundry machines in the basement, perfect location for catching all sorts of public transportation, dining, shopping, etc. The main issue would be no A/C or way to adjust the heat, but opening the window does help except then it’s very, very loud outside. The temperature is manageable in the colder months, but this would not be an option for the warmer months. An in-unit fan would be nice. Overall, I would recommend this place as long as you know your temperature preferences. It’s really everything else you need.

Really great place to stay. Modern, clean, and right next to Vienna Central Station. However, they don't store luggage, which would be fine normally. But they suggest storing luggage through Radical Storage and offer you a discount. Radical storage finds you stores to leave your luggage but this is problematic as the first store I went to was closed and turns out the owner was on holidays (thanks to Google lens for translating). It was cold and raining and my luggage got wet standing outside and waiting for Radical customer support to find me another place. I asked them to find me the next closest place and they booked me somewhere that was a 10-15 minute walk away in the rain. Not a pleasant experience. The hotel should not be endorsing this method of luggage storage. Additionally, Netflix wasn't working on the TV and when I asked for support, there was no communication.

Apartment style hotel near the train station which was convenient. Small room with all the amenities of a kitchen. Room faced a busy street and was very warm so we had to open the windows and it was noisy. No actual reception area but we appreciated the help in checking in by a staff member. Close to many dining options.

Muito perto da estação de trem o que facilita a locomoção. Restaurante Vapiano fica embaixo e tem várias opções de comidas boas. Tem uma mini cozinha no quarto, cama confortável, limpo. Super recomendo!

Horrible Stay: Cockroaches, No Support, and Misleading Communication. My spouse and I had an awful experience during our stay at Smartments Wien Hauptbahnhof from October 4–7, 2025. Communication with the property was nearly impossible from the beginning. I tried several times through WhatsApp and other channels to arrange an early check-in, but received no clear response for hours. When we finally checked in, we were shocked to find cockroaches and other bugs, including on the bed and surrounding surfaces. The property states that no staff is available on weekends, but there is an emergency line — unfortunately, it was completely useless. We called, texted, and emailed repeatedly, but no one ever replied. Even Hotels.com tried contacting them on our behalf and couldn’t get through to anyone. Adding to the frustration, their automated text bot was misleading, repeatedly assuring us that “our message had been forwarded to the team” and that someone would contact us shortly. We trusted that response and waited, but no one ever followed up. We eventually had to leave early because the conditions were unsanitary, unsafe, and completely unacceptable. This experience caused enormous stress and nearly ruined our trip. Until Smartments fixes its pest issue and implements real customer support instead of an unresponsive bot, I strongly recommend avoiding this property.

Communication and check-in or an absolutely horrible process. Their “AI” assistant is just a regular old customer support chat. Can’t do anything for you. It will just say “” and then no one will get back to you. DO NOT book this hotel if you plan on arriving evenings or weekends. At the Wien Hauptbahnhof location there is an actual human at the front desk during weekday daytime hours. It probably would be fine if you arrive during those hours. I arrived Sunday, and there was no one around. I was able to get in, but the slight price discount was not worth the stress. I will avoid these in the future.

I gave this four stars. For the price, it is five. Self check-in was easy. A block and a half from the Hauptbahnhof station. Good, varied dining options within a few blocks. Common areas in the building were a little worn, but our little apartment was clean and comfortable, including a small refrigerator, double burner stove and a microwave.

Very close to Vienna Main train station, which in contrary to the area of many other European train stations is rather quiet and clean. The area also offered numerous supermarkets and various good restaurant options within close vicinity.
