Great location and beautiful room. I would’ve enjoyed it if my check in experience wasn’t so bad. Really ruined my excitement for this hotel and the city. I couldn’t shake it off for the whole stay. I stay in hotels half of the year and I’ve never felt such attitude during a check in But if you get lucky at check in, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the beautiful room, great food and location

One of the best, if not best places we have ever stayed, and we are frequent travellers. Beautiful, modern, luxurious, and exemplary service level. Super king beds for my 6”3 height, very large towels, and breakfast up to 2pm which is delicious. Greeted with champagne, spoken to with respect and general sense of happiness and appreciation. Wonderful experience and walkable to everything with 6 restaurants right behind hotel. Safe anytime of the the night. Thank you Almanac Palais!

Our second visit after a very good stay two years ago. Despite 9/10 positive last time, the hotel has improved. Service throughout the staff was excellent, attentive and kind. The location is a short walk to theatres and cathedral with good choice of cafes and restaurants. A short walk through a city centre park (Stadtpark) to transit from the airport, plus the fantastic MAK Gallery just ten minutes walk away. The restaurant has an excellent menu, and if the weather allows you can dine outside (we have been able to on both September visits.) I recommend the green omelette! The spa was more accessible on this visit, and the wonderfully relaxing massage was worth adding . We would not hesitate to stay here again, Vienna has so much to see.

Absolutely incredible hotel! Our room was luxurious and spacious, as well as stocked with so many wonderful treats and amenities. The guest experience team even left us a lovely little goodie basket! I cannot begin to convey just how fabulous the pool is. Truly a beautiful hotel overall and I highly recommend!

This property is beautiful and impeccable! The rooms are clean and classic. Staff is amazing from Danny to Melita! Very helpful and friendly staff. I love the welcome tray of fruits and pastries. Love that it’s on the perimeter of Inner Stadt surrounded by delicious restaurants and boutiques. What an amazing retreat!

Overall I was happy with my stay.

It’s a great hotel. Unfortunately our rooms airconditioning took several hours to cool the room down. Also the fridge contained Luke-warm drinks - I like my beer cold! They also have an annoying contact system; if you want something you can only contact reception through WhatsApp and it can take several minutes to get a response. Annoying if they’ve forgotten to provide towels and you’re wet out of the shower!

I would like to commend one of the outstanding staff members at the hotel — Gergerly (sorry if misspelled his name). My luggage was damaged, and the lock was stuck, but he was extremely helpful and patient in assisting me with the issue. His professionalism and kindness truly stood out. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, with high-end amenities such as luxurious soap and body lotion. However, I’d like to share a point of concern regarding breakfast. Upon check-in, one of the staff members informed us that breakfast was included. I was surprised and reconfirmed with her, and she assured me it was. At check-out, we were told otherwise — that breakfast was not included and we needed to pay for it. This caused unnecessary confusion and wasted time. Fortunately, the manager eventually stepped in and confirmed that breakfast should indeed be complimentary. As of now, I still see a pending breakfast charge authorized on my credit card. It hasn’t posted yet, and I sincerely hope the hotel will honor their word and remove the charge. At a five-star hotel, I believe such miscommunication should be avoided for a smoother and more trustworthy guest experience.
