Excellent location, but serious cleanliness and maintenance concernsThe location in Vernazza is excellent, and the apartment looks much like the photos. Unfortunately, the condition of the property during our three-night stay was very disappointing, particularly given the 306-per-night price...USD equivalent to 349 a night during our August stay.We found visible mold/mildew in multiple areas of the apartment—not just one isolated spot. It was present in the shower, shower pan, large sections of the wall bathroom around the kitchen sink, and inside the washing machine. We photographed the areas and reported the problem during our stay. We were told that the mold would be cleaned after we had already checked out. For us, this went well beyond a minor cleanliness issue. Finding visible mold in several areas, including the shower and an appliance used for cleaning clothes, was unacceptable at this price point and significantly detracted from our stay.The location is wonderful and the apartment has potential, but the cleanliness and maintenance issues need to be addressed before I would recommend this property to other travelers. Future guests should be aware of these issues before booking.
