A very bright, recently renovated apartment located in the historic center of the island of Venice. It is on the fourth floor without an elevator, but the climb will certainly be worth it for the wonderful natural light and the view of the Venetian rooftops and an inner courtyard. This place is great, beautiful and convenient. Lana was really helpful and responsive. It was quiet. The AC was awesome during the heatwave.

The check-in process was smooth and the pre check-in comms with the owner's agent were good. We also appreciated the information about recommended restaurants and things to do in the Venice area. Unfortunately, those were the only highlights of our stay.When we got into the apt, it wasn't super clean. There were dead bug splatters on the walls and hair on the bathroom floor and on the toilet. Most importantly, when we tried to take showers that first night, there was no hot water in the apt (more accurately, there would be hot water for 5-10 secs and then it would turn cold and it wouldn't get hot again for 5-10 mins). The owner stated that they couldn't find a repair person to fix the hot water heater over the weekend so we went without hot water our entire 3 night stay. The owners then only offered a 100 Euro refund (11% of the total cost) for the inconvenience of not having hot water, which we felt was too low, so we were forced to file a claim with VRBO. If the owner would have made us a fair offer we could have totally overlooked the hot water issue as we understand things happen, but they were unwilling to make things right.Also, the standalone ACs in the living room and main bedroom were functional, but there was no way to put the hot air exhaust hose out the window without leaving the entire window open, which then allowed bugs to come into the apt as there were no window screens so they were basically unusable.I do not recommend staying at this apt.

It is 5 flights of stairs up. Location was. Good not far from trasin station but there was no hot wayer for amy shower.
