2 of the 3 front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. The 3rd was not... Perhaps because we did not speak Italian. Bellhops were extremely nice... Very friendly. Housekeeping did a great job! We thought a first floor room near the water would be fun with a closer view of the Grand Canal traffic. Would have been great if not for the daily early morning waste pickup vessel and construction workers who were loud enough to wake us up each day.

Breakfast is a croissant and juice. The room was fine but the hot water literally lasted less than 2-3 minutes. And to top it off, I messaged the hotel to add two people to the reservation since I was in a junior suite. I asked them how much extra it would be to add. They said it wouldn’t cost anymore only the city tax, which was three dollars per person per day. But when I arrived and getting ready to check in, they tried to charge me an extra €120 for the two people despite me showing copies of the messages regarding me asking if there was any extra fee and the Hotel representative telling me that there would be no extra charge.

Hotel is great, couple mins walk from train station. Friendly staff. Breakfast is good. But my bed have bed bugs. Found out next day with about 10 mosquitoes lookalike marks. Very itchy.

My stay at Hotel Principe was wonderful. It was located right on the canal, where I had a perfect view from my balcony. The staff was helpful, the room was elegant and spotless. Breakfast was very satisfying. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The hotel staff arranged fror our transportation to the airport.

The location is great a 2 minute walk from the Santa Lucia train station in the main canal. Nice restaurant in the lobby and good breakfast. No a/c available it was uncomfortable in the room even though it was late October, we were forced to leave the terrace door open and when I called the don’t give me no option. The rooms are not updated. Overall it was a good hotel but not what I was expected

The location of Hotel Principe is absolute perfection! We took a water taxi directly to the hotel and were immediately impressed. The staff was friendly, and the American and Italian-style breakfast was excellent each morning. The room had high ceilings, plenty of space for my mom and me, and the balcony was totally worth it — we loved watching the boat traffic on the Grand Canal! The hotel’s location made getting around Venice so easy — with the water taxi right outside the steps, we could head to St. Mark’s Square or take a vaporetto to Murano and Burano effortlessly. We parked our rental car at Tronchetto Garage, and the hotel even arranged a water taxi pickup within just a few minutes of arrival. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. If you’re new to Venice like we were, this is the perfect place to stay. Stop looking and book it — you won’t regret it!
