One night layover

Don't expect any help getting to the hotel. Check in went well. We had more luggage than normal and they carried all our things to our room. The room was very nice. The bed was hard. The shower is very small. There is a small fridge in the room. It did a great job cooling beverages. The stairs are narrow in the annex. We asked for our luggage to be set out for our taxi the next morning at 6 am. The night person didn't know anything about it. When we got down to the office nothing was out. He was very unhelpful and a bit rude. I had to ask him 3 different times to get our luggage as our water taxi was waiting for us. The location is amazing. The views are spectacular. It was fun to sit outside and watch the activity on the water.

This was a great location away from the crowds and I loved the little courtyard. Staff was very attentive. Howver, there was no type of guide in the rooms. No one showed us how TV worked and no suggestions on exploring the area during our stay e.g. close attractions, restaurants or shopping!

Room was very nicely decorated. Bet was very comfortable. Plenty of water pressure and hit water fir shower/baths. AC was clearly working and very comfortable temp in room. The front desk staff were always friendly and went out of their way to help you with things to do. The water front deck was so nice for sipping capichino and boat watching. If your looking for a smaller quaint hotel that will bring you joy on your vacation...this is it.

Great location and service

The staff were very accommodating and arranged for a water taxi to pick us up at the cruise terminal. They also stored our luggage as we had an early arrival and gave us a GREAT room with a wonderful outdoor terrace with a view onto the Grand Canal. They made a dinner recommendation and made a reservation for us. They also arranged for a water taxi for us to the airport for our departure. We truly enjoyed every part of our one night stay!

Lovely hotel on the canal

We loved our stay at Canal Grande Hotel. Wonderful location oversetting the canal in a quieter part of town. We enjoyed having breakfast on the private deck on the canal. Hotel had a lot of character and beautifully decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

Wonderful!

Great hotel. Good location, walking distance from the train station. Room is spacious with beautiful Venizien decorative. Staff is friendly, helpful. This is the 1st. time I am visiting Venice. Staying 3 nights. I saw photos on the Internet when I booked, but didn't expect much. Most of the time, photos are better; however, in this case what you see is what you get. Thanks 👍!

This is a great hotel option for Venice. We enjoyed the quiet area around the hotel. The staff are amazing and were helpful with all of our questions. The train station is a 6 minute walk.

A lovely hotel on the canal

We loved this hotel, the staff who were so friendly and helpful and our lovely spacious room on the top floor had the most gorgeous view of the bridge and the canal from our window. We chose it for its location on the canal, a balcony above the water to enjoy breakfast and we had tables on the piazza .. such a lovely hotel. The area is also great to wonder around, not so busy with Italians in the cafes and not just tourists…the staff was exceptionally welcoming and happy to recommend boat stops and restaurants around. We will come back!
