The building is beyond fancy and the staff are amazing. It's Venice, so the rooms are comically small, but yoy get that anywhere in the city at this price point. It's on one of the major tourist strips, the decor is appropriately fancy, the staff are amazing, wifi works well enough and there's probably a dozen cafes and restaurants within a five minute wall from your front door Only minor downside is that the utilities aren't very well maintained. Only two outlets in the room were working, the lights in the bathroom flickered, air-conditioning worked well enough but it was obviously dying periodically before coming back to life an hour later and only kept the room cool because it was so small and water pressure was non-existent. Building's several hundred years old though, so some jank is to be expected.

A lovely place to stay!

A lovely place to stay in Venice. The owners could not help enough, the room was great with marvellous air con. There are no lifts so if you have cases, be prepared to be fit! Nice breakfast and the location is right on the main island so you are ideally located to enjoy the bars and restaurants of Venice. Wonderful.

The room was nice and large by Venezia standards for the four of us. The ac didn’t work that well and we were in a separate building from the front desk and lobby where the included breakfast and lounge area was so i dropped one star for these. Location was great-easy walk to all the sites without being right in touristy marked up spots and crowds.

The hotel was very nice and in a good location. I noticed the food near the hotel was more reasonably priced compared to areas near the more busy sites. It was easy to walk but if you take the public water taxis to the nearest stop coming straight from the airport be prepared to take your luggage up the many staired small bridges in Venice. It was no problem for us but my parents struggled so a private water taxi would have been a better option. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, provided many great recommendations. Rooms are small but that is to be expected in a historic hotel. Very clean.

Very nice room for a family of 4. Everyone had their own bed, which was our main concern. Fabio at the front desk was very welcoming when we arrived at the property with our water taxi and arranged for our luggage to be brought up to our rooms. The room itself was in the next building over, which wasn’t a big deal. The only thing we noticed was that particular stairwell was super stuffy and smelled rather fishy (but with the hotel on a canal, I don’t know if that could be helped). Overall, a really nice hotel and would stay again when in Venice.

This is a hidden gem in Venice. The hotel was super well located, felt very safe and it was impeccably clean. I stayed at a single room, which was very small, but it was fine. I was able to walk everywhere in less than 20 mins, and there is a supermarket with 4 mins walk. The staff was super helpful, and the breakfast was very generous, good and varied. Definitely recommend!

Lovely Conveniently Located Hotel

Lovely hotel located close enough to everything to be convenient but just far enough away from the Rialto for there not to be wall-to-wall people right outside the door 24 hours a day. The staff were extremely helpful, particularly with arranging a watertaxi to the airport for us in the middle of the night. I was expecting breakfast to be included based on what I remembered as a special promotion for Gold members that was in effect when I booked the reservation almost a year in advance, but it's possible I am just misremembering things because it isn't stated anywhere on the reservation document I printed out at the time.

We loved everything, cozy room, awesome breakfast, excellent service, cafe and biscuits are available all time for free :). The property is located in a location where from all main attractions in Venice are walkable. It is also very close to the train station. That really worked well for us, as we took high speed trains and went to other cities like florence, padua, verona in our trip and came back in the night. Overall our trip was great and the having a cozy hotel like ca gottardi with delicious breakfast really made our trip memorable.

Classy hotel in Venice city centre

Centrally located property, which makes it noisy at times. However, the host were extremely welcoming and offered us coffee and biscuits along with early check in (free). The Suite was spacious, clean, perfect for a family of 4. Good breakfast in one of the best rooms I ever had breakfast to with classical music at the background. The price could be lower but Venice is expensive anyway
